After watching Stoke City more than 1500 times over a 50 year period I now feel as though someone has stolen my priceless possession from me. It has been taken away from me in little pieces, almost without my noticing, but now the full realisation is dawning that its gone. Yeah can we have 2nd/3rd division football in front of 12,000 supporters with players like Oldfield, Bamber and Lightbourne and foriegn ownership. Please can we have that back!! Is that what playing a little more football guarantees?

yesterday was the 11th league game out of 27 which we havent scored in - is that not enough proof to our stubborn manager that his negative tactics just dont work ? what really pisses me off more than anything else though is his failure to try something different especially when there are options available to him

Pol, to be honest mate, it was no worse than yesterday and any number of games in recent months.
Simply scandalous negligent management mate.

Pol, to be honest mate, it was no worse than yesterday and any number of games in recent months. Simply scandalous negligent management mate. Pulis is the man in charge and he will be with us until something hugely significant happens to the club as a result of his management. I don't go to the games anymore, that's how I deal with it. I've only just stopped listening to the radio during games too. Vote with your feet.

POL How can you support what you are saying 1 win in 21 games away. Soulless atmosphere at home with a few results covering cracks. 80 million pounds spent more than Swansea,Norwich, west brom etc. Are you blind to our current plight,we had a better go 5 years ago with a championship side.

Is that what playing a little more football guarantees? We played football during these times? ;D No but that's all that most of us want. Only a few idiots expect much more than we are producing points and position wise. It's just that we are involved in an incredibly small amount of entertaning games. Our whole approach is about safety first, strangling the life out of every game whilst hoping to get something from a set piece where we can muscle the ball over the line. It's mind numbingly boring.

I think it is perhaps the older fans with the longer perspective who see this . Once the novelty of the premiership has started to wane and it has for me its the quality of the football and the hope that we can attract exiting talents that is worthwile. Unfortunately we need anew manager for this.

I have to join this chorus. I'm not renewing, because this 'football' has sucked all the enjoyment of matches out of me. I don't expect Champion's League, all I want is to look forward to Saturday and feel that old sense of anticipation as I walk towards the ground. It feels like a chore now, and that's just not right.

Pulis will never leave through his own choice Correct, he's far too arrogant to do that. Would you quit a job that paid for a mansion in Sandbanks if you were in your comfort zone and were well in with the boss?

I couldn't even be arsed to watch it or listen to it yesterday, painted the downstairs cloak instead, thanks TP for breaking the hold SCFC has over me and for not getting a bollocking off the Mrs.

More and more fans feel like this. t.co/YGgVvZ9Gqi@mbaggers37: padders01 Fair enough Alastair. I'm not defending the approach to away games, but I still think Stoke could have easily got a draw. #SCFC padders01: @mbaggers37 1/2 I wasn't referring to anything you have written, apologies if you think I was having a go at you. Far from it @mbaggers37: padders01 Sorry Alastair, no apology needed. I didn't mean to sound so touchy and I take your point. #SCFC padders01: @mbaggers37 Fans want to see more intent, best players starting, no round pegs in square holes. Can you put that post in the paper? @mbaggers37: padders01 Sorry Alastair, we've already put together the Twitter reaction to the game. Many posts in there reflect your views though. padders01: @mbaggers37 I meant the opening post on the link. Its not my post. That post needs coverage. It's very well put and many have same feelings

Fantastic post couldn't have summed it up better. Last season I put it down to the Europa games but we are far worse this season. No home game in 3 weeks and do not feel at all excited about Saturdays game Very depressing times The irony is that the away tie against Valencia was one of the most enjoyable Stoke games in years. Pulis appeared to go through the motions and rested many of his favourites resulting in a fluent exciting game against one of the best teams in Europe!!

The whole thread speaks volumes about all that is wrong with OUR club at present.
What frustrates me the most is that everyone feels afraid to vent their true feelings when at the Brit.
Its easy to vent our frustrations on here or via Radio Stoke etc. We need to stand together collectively at the games and make our point loud and clear.
If we want him gone then lets make our voices heard on Saturday.
Maybe then the family, the local rag, the national media etc will start taking notice and begin to reap the pressure on that stubborn baseball cap wearing dinosaur of a manager we have.
If we continue to do nothing at the game vocallly to show our true feelings of continued frustration then nothing will change.
A great period for the club but one that is now being spoiled and pissed all over by a very stubborn and condescending prick.
I seem to recall a certain chap with several boxes full of red cards.....maybe its time for them to be taken out of the loft.

The good news is if we do change the manager, I really do believe the fabled 12th man will return. The Brit will be its electric, hostile, intimidating best again. We will have a new cause to unify behind and the team will need us whilst change takes effect. There is nothing better than that to bring Stokies together. That will take us a long way in protecting against the risk of relegation if we change. And it will give you and us our club back. Unfortunately as mentioned on others post I believe TP'S sole aim, in Coates eyes is to keep us in the PL, we all know how close they are and I don't see this changing any time soon regardless of how the team performs. Even if/when we do get relegated I would not expect TP to get the sack. I fully expect it to turn ugly before the end which would be a huge shame given the success that TP has given us. The question is will the tide turn on him whilst we are sitting in and continue to sit in mid table and if the home performances continue as they are then I give it 4-6 games maybe less, if home games improve we will continue as we have the past 5 years and nothing will change. Brilliant post by the OP. Also agree with Miggo and Greenhoffs assessment. PC has experienced ugly times in the past - is he ready to do so again to defend TP?
