10,000 extra hangers on turned up and pretended they had been there through thin and thinner. They hadn't, and now they think they know everything. Ironically I was having a clear out this week and found an old ticket stub for Rotherham 2004 at Millmoor. Somehow I bet they weren't there for that game. I was and ive been going since 1952 and this is the most unattractive team I have ever seen. We have players who can play but aren't allowed to. Even in Waddos early days with his famous wall the players were allowed to express themselves. Totally agree - I've been going since the mid 60's but have to say that this is the most negative team I have seen throughout the period.

I forgot the carpet football, we played under, Macari, Bates, Kamara, Little , Gudjohnson Cotterill, and Boskamp. Oh, those were the days.

The 92/93 season under Lou my favorite season supporting Stoke. The main difference between Lou and Tone is that Lou genuinely went out to win every game, NO MATTER WHO WE PLAYED!!!

Where's the glory in being a mid table Premier League team who play shite football? I don't know, maybe we should ask the fans of to name a few - Portsmouth Derby Leicester Bradford Wimbledon Hull Middlesbrough Blackpool Bernley Forest Blackburn Bolton Birmingham Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield Utd Barnsley Coventry Oldham Just a thought like!

Rather than all this hostility going on why don't we channel it at the remaining games at the Brit & get it fired up from the off?
This season is all bout survival so lets be the 12th man as the atmosphere has been shite this season.
If Suarez hadn't been judged to have dived against Liverpool in the first min the atmosphere would of been similiar to the emirates.
Yep the formation or tactics are frustrating but so are our home supporters for becoming the fans we moan about (not singing).

Because its a race to get to 40+ points and next season involves a massive pay out that would set up the club for years to come, I'm sure there would be plenty of villa fans who would easily swap places at the mo?

Can't disagree with much of that, however I do think given the investment and our experience we should actually piss 40 points. Clearly that isn't the case as in my humble opinion we don't make the most of what we have. That is probably my biggest single gripe with Tone. I wish he could back his own judgement on the players he's signed.

We've lost no first teamers since the cup final season, we've spent an extra £30m in the interim and we don't have the extra games this season we did last. Why on earth shouldn't we be aiming higher than just survival on that basis? We look a better team when we set up positively and our away approach clearly isn't working.

That last line nails it for me every time. Regardless of who we are playing our manager should send us out to beat them because if he doesn't believe we can than its pointless even turning up. Pulis is guilty of not doing or believing this and that for me isn't good enough.

Since our arrival in the premiership we've had good runs and bad. We've recently gone 10 games unbeaten and we're now in a very sticky patch. On the whole are play is not fantastic but now is the time for the management and players to pull their fingers out and turn this around. It's also up to the supporters t get behind the team and roar them on to success. We all know what effect a positive and voicious croud has at the brit.Positive - Positive - Positive.

Our only hope is that at some point a number 2 is appointed with some fresh new ideas and Tone gives him the authority to change things.

Yeh agree with but we are in this position & it needs unity to get to the 40 point mark. Turning against each other or shouting pulis out could jeopardise it?
Southampton was poor, Swansea & Chelsea not much better, Wigan are our bogey team but today I saw some improvement. Personally Reading is a massive game as is the rest of our home games.

I agree it's counterproductive to turn on each other and the lads get my full support every game. But I'm sick of people saying every single season that "it's only about survival" when we spend £10-20m every year and have some talented players. We're better than that and if 40 points is the only target every year then sooner or later we're going to have to ask, IMO, if the manager had taken us as far as he can.

That's why certain players are brought in, so that we can compete and not get drawn into the bottom 3. We are on 30 points so realistically 3 wins should see us safe? So my point is let's get them in the bag ASAP & then we can relax a little. Ideally I think a 50 point target is what we should be aiming for but that's a long way off at the mo.
However win the next game & that would build confidence & hopefully start another run?

Ha ha I like the idea that he is cautious because he is Welsh ;D To be honest I think it's gone past the appointing a No.2 stage,we need a change of direction and for me that starts with a new manager, there is no think about it,he will never change.

We bring these players in but in recent windows more often than not we hamstring them by playing them out of position or buying players who don't fit the manager's system. I also think the idea we have to grind out results to get to 40 points and play so negatively doesn't hold up because as I said our best performances have come when we've been fast and positive, whereas playing for 0-0s isn't working.

RVD83 pulis has played 'not to concede away from home' since we got promoted. That's his weakness, he has far too much respect for the opposition & possibly believes the hype that we are overachieving?
But the time isn't right at the mo to start a divide or hostility. The 12th men do make a difference and certainly the remaining home games we need the 12th man.

I agree it's not the time for hostility but if Pulis does think we're overachieving then for me that again raises serious questions about how far we can go under him. The fact that he keeps playing the same way away from home when it's patently not working is part of the problem.
