Depends what you want and how you view things.
My personal opinion is that our league position doesn't float my boat (as long as we're above 17th) but making the best out of what we have does.
We're not doing that and haven't been for a good while.

Fickle fans with delusion of grandeur. A description I would never have thought associated with Stoke fans. I thought we were better than that. If that is the price of success they can fuckin shove it.

10,000 extra hangers on turned up and pretended they had been there through thin and thinner. They hadn't, and now they think they know everything.
Ironically I was having a clear out this week and found an old ticket stub for Rotherham 2004 at Millmoor. Somehow I bet they weren't there for that game.

Where's the glory in being a mid table Premier League team who play shite football?

At this stage we have developed into a club that is far better than 17th and we wont be anywhere close to finishing 17th again this year.

imo, playing players out of position is our #1 gripe. I pisses me right off, even if a player plays well there for 1 week, its obvious that next week x5 they will be shit. Like Walters.
Cameron a RB and Wilko LB, those two piss me right off, add Jerome at LW/RW, Whitehead at RM, Huth a RB, Adam a LM or CF
Any of the above make me unhappy, as I am sure that we would be much much better with 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2 with players in the correct positions, or new signings being ONLY in positions that we desperately need SOMEONE....ANYONE

I was and ive been going since 1952 and this is the most unattractive team I have ever seen. We have players who can play but aren't allowed to. Even in Waddos early days with his famous wall the players were allowed to express themselves.

This idea that fans who are currently disappointed with our current form only turned up in 2008 is laughable.
Get yourself down to Stoke town centre on most Saturday nights and in the pubs you'll be able to talk with hardened Stokies who've followed this club through some of the worst shit imaginable.
I dare you to question their commitment to or love of this club!

I would have taken 5 seasons of coming 17th what changed? Well, I didn't imagine we'd be spending £15-20m a year in the transfer market. If you'd told me we'd be forking out that sort of wonga; a) I wouldn't have believed you; b) if I did I would have thought hoping to finish 8th-12th not too unreasonable; c) I'd have hoped to see us actually try to play some football rather than turn every game into an ordeal that has to be endured

oh ay up, here we go, i was at Norton Athletic in 1942 ad infinidum You people have to remember that any child aged 6 upwards cannot go to the game alone and takes a responsible adult, hopefully a parent.....5 years ago that kid was 1 year old! I've being going for many years, sporadically and you people are basically saying that unless you were there watching Rotherham away in 1990 you're a glory hunter. How the fuck do we encourage next generation Stokies then? Or would you all be happier if it was on a 'time served' basis so we had 12,000 fans at home games? If we did, we couldn't afford fucking transfers!!!!!

Ironically I was having a clear out this week and found an old ticket stub for Rotherham 2004 at Millmoor. Somehow I bet they weren't there for that game. Why, because they have a different opinion to you? There are plenty of people on here who've said many times how they've been going since the 60s or 70s and feel its time for a change. If you have read these posts and still dont believe whats in front of you well... actually that explains a lot.

If you're on about the 4-0 defeat then yes I was there and so were a shit load of other fans who aren't sucking Pulis off after 1 win in 22 away games. Arrogant "I'm a better fan than you blah blah fucking blah". Why is it so hard to comprehend that the ones voicing their concerns care about the club just as much as you???????

I'm not saying its right or wrong, only what I've seen with my own eyes in the last 17 years of following Stoke Sure there will be people who've been going a lot longer than me and a lot that have gone a lot less. I am only saying that in my time crowd attendances have been toss until we got to the prem. Ergo where have all the fans been?
