In the 5 months since Michael Laudrup was appointed manager Swansea have won at Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea scoring 7 times and conceding once. By way of comparison we have played 16 matches at Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in league and cup since we were promoted and managed 3 draws (all 0-0) and 13 defeats, scoring a magnificent 4 goals and conceding 33. But wait, this is not a fair comparison: as TP will quickly remind us we are only a small club on a small budget whereas Swansea .....

Interesting point. In Head to Head I think Pulis has a 100% record against Laudrup as managers - Really is fascinating stuff.

Laudrup is a good football coach and trusts his players. Pulis is a good organiser who does not.

Lost 2-0 to us at the Brit, are on the same points and have only bettered our goal difference by 4 even with that wonderfluke signing Michu

I think the point you make that we have been dismal at Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea across the last 5 seasons is a good one. Thwarted as we were by our singular lack of ambition. As for Swansea winning at these 3 venues, well I saw highlights of all 3 of these games and they used up enough luck for about 5 seasons in doing so.

They also lost at Villa, got thumped at home to Everton and could only manage a goalless draw at home to Liverpool. We drew with Villa and Everton and beat Liverpool.
Laudrup is shit, Pulis is king.
Stats eh?

Stats eh? Add in the fact that we cruised past them when we played them at home and they were arguably the worst side to visit the Brit this season and Laudrup begins to look less of a tactical genius. After all, surely a manager with his technical know how, excellent man management skills and all round good eggness should be able to outwit Tone the tactical dinosaur shouldn't he?

In the 44th minute of their last league game, Swansea conceded a goal to Villa. Andreas Weimann of all people.
In the 67th minutes of their second to last league game, Stoke scored. Matt Upson.
The stats show Pulis is streets ahead of Laudrup.

Agreed each time Swansea have come to the brit, TP has had their card mark. Having said that I think you can only compare 2 managers with their records against one another, its hard in this case as TP has only faced Laurdrup the once.

Tony does not think that it would be right and proper for us to beat the "big" clubs. West Ham, QPR and Swansea have all beaten Chelsea in the past 5 weeks - we are at least on a par with these clubs, and should go all out to stuff this lot tomorrow. You all know that TP will not allow that to happen, and will tell us that we can't compete, and look at how much they have spent etc.etc. Anyone can lose a game, but it takes ambition against the better clubs, to win. Come on Tone, go for it.

Watching Swansea last season, I found rather boring. Pass back, pass sideways, pass back etc etc
This season, they still pass but are more direct and with purpose. I think he has evolved them

They both bring a lot more to the table than Allen and unlike Allen I think both of them would work in the middle for a Pulis side.
