Listening to the affection Rory Delap holds for this football club solely how the club dealt with him after he was injured whilst on loan.
He's just said the chairman and chief exec came to see him on the day of his operation on his broken leg and told him they made a gentlemans agreement to sign him and they would be sticking to it.
He said he believes in karma and says he hopes he's repaid the faith showed in him. Yes you have son, and i'm proud.
My football club is magic.

He's a top pro, and I hope he has some kind of involvement with this club for a long time to come....
As for repaying us...well could you have seen us surviving that first season without? Not me, whatever the purists thought of our methods in those first couple of seasons....well who gives a fuck...this man played a huge part in getting us up and establishing us in the top flight.
Be nice perhaps see him fit again, lets give him a bash against the fookin gooners ay? One last big throw haha

On a slightly different note, I notice that somebody on Wikipedia has compiled every single goal scored off a Delap long throw in his entire career, including goals scored off his throws by Southampton, Derby and Carlisle. I don't suppose anybody can find any videos of his throws for those teams?

Just announced he looking for new club in Jan as he wants to carry out playing. On a permanent deal? Quite possible. Doubt we will see another long throw from the man again. Said he does not mind dropping down few leagues. Model pro. Talked about how gratefull he was by club by sticking by him and HOPES he paid everyone back. He has done hell of a lot more than that.

Shame we cant find a coaching role that would satisfy his needs and play him in the U21's as a mentor. He obviously wants first team football at championship level and perhaps one last promotion. Must come back at some point i hope in that coaching role because there is no player more synonimous with not only the integrity of the club but also its success over the last few years.

It will be a sad day if Rory leaves SCFC. You can't have too many model pros around the place as examples to our up and coming players.
