Not sure if posted or not so delete if so The striker enjoyed six glorious years at the Britannia Stadium, helping the club into the top flight and playing a major role in their subsequent consolidation.
During his time in the Potteries, Stoke also reached the FA Cup final and last season played in the Europa League – and on the final day of the campaign, the crowd gave the striker a minute’s applause 10 minutes in.
That was in homage to his shirt number, a double digit that has since been snapped up by a certain Michael Owen.
“It was an amazing feeling to hear it,” said Ricardo. “I’d been there six years and achieved a lot in that time.
“Every year we did something special and something different and that’s good to see because as a player you always get judged on your last performances.
“That’s the nature and the cruelty of football. But the Stoke fans were just amazing, and over my six years there, they were the loudest fans in the entire Football League.”
On the number 10 shirt – which has been described in some quarters as the Fuller shirt – the striker modestly added: “For me, football jerseys are just numbers. Whatever number I get on and whatever shirt I wear, whether it be 10 or 19, it’s just a number.
“Any player taking over at Stoke or coming in, they obviously have to have a number, and now Michael Owen wears number 10, not my number 10.
“It’s a good thing because he’s a great player and a great goalscorer and he has done a lot for his country and his clubs.
“Obviously, I’m thankful for the praise and I really appreciate it because at the end of the day, people know what I am like. I like to win and I give everything to win games.”www.cafc.co.uk//news/article/20120913-fuller-programme-piece-366247.aspx?pageView=full#anchored

I'm going to the game tonight with a couple of clients. I'm not sure I will be able to control myself if the calypso kid scores, potentially bad for business.
