swindon fans have said on their forum they thought he was the worst excuse for a premiership footballer they have ever seen.

"Pearson is furious at his team who conceded four during this weeks League Cup tie against League Two outfit Burton Albion."
Would have been 5 or 6 if Shotton had played ;D

Shhhhh, they read this
I'd be gutted if Shotton went, a fantastic young footballer who will go on to great things, anything less than 5 million will be robbery, don't let him go Tony!

Burnley offered 1 million not so long ago. If Leicester pay anywhere near that we've pulled off one of the biggest blags of all time!

He made a good start for us, but more recently has been exposed when up against top opposition.
He should develop with a Championship club like Leicester, especially if he is played in the same position each week.
Good luck to him

I'm off this week, happy to drive him over there if required, what with him having no sense of direction.

Ryan will be leaving for Leicester by the end of the week... Loan at first but with a view to a permanent move.

It's what he needs. And to a good club like Leicester is a bonus for him if it happens.

I don't normally see the benefit of getting on the backs of our own players. But last night he was so utterly disasterously shit, in every possible way, that it is in everyone's benefit that he plays netball.

just solely based on his performance last night he deserves to go, he made one absolute terrible 'head clearance' which ended up in them hitting the post I believe, sign him up!

Very promising defender, whoso career has been derailed by a manager who inexplicably saw him as a better winger than Jermaine Pennant and Ben Marshall.
For his sake I hope he does move to Leicester, I'm sure under the right guidance Ryan Shotton will enjoy a very succesfull career in football.

I assume he was responsible for all four goals. He made a few mistakes but who didn't, Stoke supporters like to have one player they can make the scapegoat for everything that's wrong, especially one that comes through the ranks. Prime targets are normally Wilko and Henry before him, even though he has made a decent showing at Wolves. Don't see many people calling for Sorensen to be moved on even though he was abysmal last night.

Best thing for him to go, he's the new whipping boy. Totally agree. Saying that, he isn't premiership std. for pulis to say he's a forward is laughable. Good luck Shots, all the best.

He was beyond awful last night. I don't think he's good enough for prem level either. Although the bloke behind me in the Boothen last night calling him a black c**t was a bit out of order to say the least.

Ryan knows he's not good enough for the Premier League, he is getting paid £780k a year + bonuses for 4 years, for a lad like Ryan that kind of money can create MASSIVE distractions, which it has. I would be very suprised if Ryan even gets (wants) another professional contract after this one runs out. Shame really as he has bags and bags of talent.

He's the "new" Bale! ;D Right, I'm not particular enamoured with the manager right now like most other folk. But I don't think we need to lie and misquote him to make him look worse than he already does do we. He's never said that he is a forward and he didn't call him the 'new Bale' either. I do recall an admin revealing a long while back that Pulis wanted to sell Shotton and Pulis was lambasted for trying to flog him to Burnley.

He said that 'Gareth Bale started out as a fullback and became a winger like Shotton may do' not that the two players were remotely alike in terms of ability. I'm not going to get into a massive debate about it but it is a myth that has grown out of people misquoting that article in the Sentinel.
