I think he did OK and I was encouraged by his debut. There were stages of the game that passed him by but in general he can be pleased with his first appearance in the Premier League. It's hard to judge him given our opponents as they dominate possession so we will see how Geoff does against Wigan next week. The one really good thing is that he has an uncanny knack of prodding a leg out and winning the ball when he looks second favourite. For a first start it was decent and definitely something to build on. I couldn't agree more Jamo. I really couldn't believe some of the early comments on this thread, until I realised that they were all posted whilst the game was going on. It is difficult to completely follow a player's contribution when watching on the TV or a computer screen.

Seemed fine to me was quite impressed. He put himself about a bit.
I fully expected parts of the game to pass him by but I think there are plenty more positives about his performance than negatives. A few weeks and he should grow into the roll.

The only way he's going to adjust is by chucking him in. He's not going to get used to English football from the bench. It is rare that a foreign player hits the ground running as it's such a different game over here, especially compared to the MLS, but Pulis clearly has given him a massive tick by picking him and keeping him on for the whole game. He's a tough judge with foreign players and he must be getting some seriously good vibes about him as a player and character.
I haven't got a clue who the planned partner for him will be, though.

I think Cameron put in as promising a debut as you could expect for someone who has never played in England before. One thing is certain; he showed up Whelan and the shocking Palacios. Agreed. In a debut against Arsenal and Diaby in particular, I think he did extremely well and looked very promising.

I haven't got a clue who the planned partner for him will be, though. spent the second half wondering the same thing, i think a more attack minded midfielder would suit, i think, be more sure next couple of games, only problem is we havent got one! lol

Did ok but can't see him being much better than what we are used to. Needs a few games but let's not get carried away with an ok performance.
A few months of hoof ball and he will be like the rest.

Started ok but has faded badly. Has been caught in possession and his passing has got worse as the half progressed. Doesn't look Stoke fit at all and shouldn't have started. Not that impressed to be honest. Time will tell and I hope he shows us how good he can be. I think you are being a tad harsh. There are not many guys who can "wow" the office on their first day at work. Quietly competent is always the way to go in my opinion. People need time to settle. Look at Wilson P

Pretty much agree with everything you have written there, especially the 'vote of confidence' that TP has given him. To me, that is a massive message to Cameron and I hope he goes on to justify TP's faith.

He looks good, far better than Whelan He (Cameron) didn't look too busy, but he WAS effective. He watched the ball well, and made some very timely tackles, usually winning the ball. IMHO, he is going to be a key player for Stoke. I like him, and think he's bee a very good buy.Not too sure what some of you think we'll get for 2/3 million. ???

He hasn't played for a while. It will take him a few games to get fully fit. He played in the week for Uncle Sam!

Solid performance, won the ball a fair few times and looked composed. Arsenal are excellent in terms of their movement and passing but we nullified them today. Very happy with a point and a clean sheet.

A bit off the pace, understandably, at first, but got into it a bit more, good interceptions, decent in the air and tried to play some quality through balls. He will get even better with more games as he adjusts (and he won't face Cazorla every week, who I thought was fantastic 1st half!!). Get big Huddy signed up next week to partner him, get Palacios firing, and we may see a significant improvement in the engine room over the whole campaign.

Looks like he'll be a quality player for us, still a bit of fine tuning needed but still a great debut, looks like a proper stoke midfielder

You have to consider everything.
1) He's come straight from the MLS - a totally different type and speed of football. 2) He only landed in the country on Friday morning. 3) He has hardly had any games with his teammates. 4) He was playing against a top side who dominate the ball.
All things considered, it was one hell of a debut IMO.
Technically very sound, defensively switched on and he can pick a pass. When he gets a proper partner alongside him who can play football we will be really cooking on gas.

Looked good today and doubtless there will be plenty more to come from him throughout the season when he gets fully adjusted to the pace of the game etc.
Considering he arrived in England on Thursday he did great today.

Completely agree. Started very well and got stuck in. Was very unlucky with the way the ball broke from a couple of 50/50s. I thought he looked good. Big game to make you debut in too! One think i did notice was he that he seems to have decent vision for a pass. The execution was a tad poor poor he had his head and was looking. He seemed to be looking to play into space rather than to the front man to hold. Looking forward to more of the same - Palacios and Cameron to start on Tuesday i reckon!

Just players who can be disciplined and sit and play the simple ball. Let's see how he slots into our system.
