Cameron looked solid. He can pass, he's tall, he can tackle and retain possession and by christ he can throw! Seeing as he may not be quite match fit yet I thought he did really well.

Cameron is moving at about 1mph, hardly touched the ball, dosen't know where he is. Are you taking the piss ? He seemed to win the ball every time without actually make a tackle, just sort of put himself between the ball and player. I think our TP may of found a gem!

He seemed to compliment Huth and Shawcross, just needs a more attacking and composed midfield player alongside him in my opinion. He did look a bit tired towards the end of the game - but he can soon improve on that aspect of his fitness.

looked composed on the ball and aware and can actually pass it around - but at the same time I noticed he spent a lot of time walking around off the ball looking like he wasnt sure where he was supposed to be, and a few times he could have closed down a bit quicker - . think he has potential tho defo

Agree with Hackett, looks like centre back to me. Looked, understandably, a bit off the pace. If Whelan had given the ball away as much as Cameron did, everyone on here would be going mental with rage. didn't see either player give the ball away much at all ok neither we're pinging killer balls about but thye both passed to Stoke players

First game in a foreign league up against one of the best passing sides in the country and he did more than okay, didn't put a foot wrong. With a few games under his belt he will adjust to the pace of the premiership and prove a real asset to the team.

I'm amazed at the opening post.
I actually thought he settled in well and won plenty of ball for us.
Some people can't wait to have a pop though, he wasn't brilliant and he certainly wasn't man of the match but he had a very steady game.

Considering it was his first game in the Prem and against avery good Arsae midfield he did remarkably well. He did look way off the pace and I thought Whelan was better. I agree with other posts he looks like a CB to me. Not surprising as he has played most of his games in tha position.

The bloke has just made a life changing move to a new continent, with a new employer and people expect immediate perfection. It really is quite unbelievable.

i thought he had a fantastic game for us, considering how long hes been at the club.. however i was a little concerned about his tendency to hang his leg out in the tackle

There were some poor performance today, Walters and Pennant were the most obvious but IMO Cameron had a decent first game.
For me his performamnce was the only positive thing to take from today. Should he get a decent playmaker alongside him I think we may have the making of a quality CM for the first time since we joined the PL.

I thought both of our CMs did well today against strong opposition (Just how bloody good was Cazorla in the first half especially!) Cameron rarely looked rushed - always the sign of a decent player and once he settles into the pace of the Prem we'll see the best of him.

The only thing that looks lost on here is riccyfuller93's marbles! Cameron looked composed in possession made a number of timely tackles and passed the ball well. He tired a little towards the end but given his time in the States last week I think he can be excused. If today was a measure of his ability he's going to be a cracking signing.

He does pretty well considering he is not fit and make 1 session training in the last 10 days. What u expect? A mix of Vieira and Xavi?

I thought he played well considering he was playing in his first Premier League game at a pace he's probably never played in before. He put his foot in like no midfielder we've had since Amdy Faye and it's something we've missed since he left. He made some good runs forward, decent passing and generally played well. He lost the shape occasionally but his overall contribution negated that. An excellent debut.

I don't know what people were expecting from a bloke who's never played football higher than the MLS and got off a plane on Thursday.
It felt like he made at least 20 tackles in the game, I don't know what the number was but it seemed a lot and more than any midfielder I've seen in a Stoke shirt for a while!

Like a school boy on the playground after he just moved to the new school. What a pathetic stupid childish post, Attention seeker I think your post is a bit of a dramatic over reaction. I think the OP's choice of phrase was quite apt. There were a couple of occasions where Cameron did look as if he didn't know where he should be..exactly the kind of thing that happens to a new boy on the school playground. Many people have been in that situation as kids.

Whelan gave the ball away more than anyone on the pitch but no-one is going 'mental with rage' as it's pretty normal for him
