Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but seeing as this board loves a good discussion about TP's quotes and his obvious double standards, I picked up this gem from a sentinel edition I saw earlier;
"Unfortunatley everybody has their time and place but I am really pleased Ric has now got himself a really good club in the championship".
Really TP? Perhaps that is a sentiment he should have applied to the likes of Danny Pugh, Salif Diou, Mama and Tonge who stayed longer than their time and place should have allowed! It also implies, as I have said many times, that Ric's time and place at Stoke City had gone and that he received absolutely no contract offer from us!
As good a job as TP has done, he remains a two faced fucker who is nigh on impossible to love in my household!

Salif and Pugh have left and SCFC were obliged to keep Mama during his medical treatment as employers because he was injured while working for the club. So what is your point? PS I miss Ric and I've had to change my location on my profile

You forgot to mention well past it Delap who is likely to start against Arsenal at the weekend at the grand old age of 36.
I don't think many at all would lose sleep if he went, sooner the better. He should of gone at the end of last season with a load of players out of contract giving the new manager room to manouver.

My point is that they all outstayed their welcome and should have left long before they did given TP's reasoning. The same, to a lesser extent, could also be said of Higgy, Delap and Nash all of whom have received extended contracts at various points over the last 12-18 months.
It isn't making me mad either MoMo. It actually makes me laugh such is his amazing ability to totally contradict himself.
Joe - I can 100% assure you that you are wrong. I won't explain why you are wrong yet again as I have repeated myself too often on the matter already.
Think about this though...Why would Ric accept a 12 month contract at Charlton, yet not accept one with us? Ric has the option of a second year at Charlton if he plays a certain number of games but in essence, it is a 12 month contract that he has agreed.
EDIT - exactly kid. Great job and full respect to the man. I never thought I would watch Stoke in Europe and an FA Cup Final. I respect 100% the job that he has done but the man is simply impossible to love! Despite what the Rimmers say, TP isn't loved at Stoke. He is respected for sure but he isn't loved.

Can we stop mentioning the FA fucking cup, it's a lottery (Cardiff some how got to two cup finals in recent times, Millwall, Southampton etc etc) the Europa League is by default. By all means hail his record in the PL but ffs, there isn't any unique achievement in reaching a cup final. If it is then shit clubs like Millwall, Birmingham, West Ham, Cardiff to name a few wouldn't do it year in year out.

Do you actually know that Ric wasn't offered a contract by us? Or is it something you're inferring? Why don't you tell us a bit more about why you think TP has done a good job. Should be worth reading.

Yes I do know that Ric wasn't offered a contract of any sort and have posted the full details almost incessantly since December 2010. I can't be arsed to do so again because Ric has now gone! I don't want to tell you why I think TP has done a good job either because that isn't something I like to admit in public! He has done a job that I respect and achieved some things that I never thought I would see. Last season was horrific, Europa League apart, but the abject surrender in Valencia will take some forgiving for me. He surrendered one of the biggest games in our history to prioritise a shitty league game against Swansea.

Ric was released after he had returned to fitness. You might remember him playing last season or is that simply inconvenient to your petty argument. I suspect that we kept Tonge because the usual silly posters on here who find any excuse to moan about TP think he is the best player at the club and should start every game. It is just TP's way of humiliating them for the 1000th time.

Pulis didn't surrender in Valencia.
He was developing the kiddies by giving them a front row seat in an atmosphere they will never forget.
They got to see another tactic, they saw how left backs shouldn't defend and how target men shouldn't finish.
And to think we have supporters who are of the opinion our manager gives nothing for the Academy?
Invaluable education!

Pu Is is indeed a 2-aced duplicitous c**t but then that is the basic requirement to be a premier league manager these days. Just check out some of the shite spouted by AVB, Wenger and that twat Rodgers at Liverpool in the last week...
