i have watched 'gers many times over the years.. and enjoyed every game and the atmosphere. have also had the "pleasure" to watch a celtic v leeds "challenge at park head, two of the most hated clubs in british football tear lumps off each other...yep i am a footy fan. also watched falkirk , alloa and cally thistle. i fear that the vast majority of scottish clubs will suffer and quite a few will go to the wall. the only good things that have come out of this mess are that SFA and SPL have shown to the world that they have finally grown a pair of balls and managed to maintain their integrity.. RANGERS ONWARDS AND UPWARDS... FOLLOW..FOLLOW. I can see that the SPL clubs will suffer financially as the loss of the Old Firm derbies will probably mean a loss of Sky money. But virtually none of that money gets down to the SFL so you'd have thought that the SFL clubs would benefit from bigger attendances and money in their home games when Rangers roll into town. I'd have also thought that at least one broadcaster would want to televise most Rangers games which would again lead to increased revenue to SFL clubs when they are in the same division as Rangers.

It's a mess, that's for sure. If they make an exception for Rangers, then any of the clubs that go under in the wake of this will b entitled to the same.
Scottish football has been in need of a complete overhaul for years. When was the last time their national team qualified for any competition at all? How many top players are Scottish? The SPL is, at best, mediocre Championship level and sinking fast. Considering the passion for the game in Scotland, that is woeful. This would be a good chance to take the hit and reinvent the whole structure from youth training upwards. I doubt the Scots will do it, loads of the SFA grandees will just want a situation of old firm plus everyone else making up the numbers. And this is why Scotland, as a footballing country, is on a par with Easter Island.
