Don't know what all the fuss is about ,we have enough headless chickens. Exactly what i was thinking. I don't think he would make us any better a side to be honest,we need some creativity not another bloke who will run his arse off for 90 mins with no end product. If only the man who counts saw it like that

With all due respect complete rubbish. Do you really think Ferguson would bring him in for all the big games if he was a headless chicken? Park is a super little player with a fantastic engine and wades in with vital goals. He's better than anything we've got in midfield. You guys have been watching hoofball too long!!!

proof why yet again Hughes is a better manager than our tone Hughes is fantastic in the transfer market. QPR will never go down while he is there ;D maybe he has more money? He certainly has more bargaining power regards wages if you look at Barton's extortionate wage. Also Hughes being ex Man United will always do well out of Fergie just like Bruce and Keane did. Or should we lambast Pulis because he never played for United? You don't half come out with some shite sometimes ;D Please see Mark Hughes transfer record at Blackburn courtesy of me. Blackburn Rovers (2004–2008)Hughes quit the Welsh national side in September 2004 to take charge of Blackburn Rovers in the FA Premier League, the last club he had played for.[16] His key aim was to keep Blackburn clear of relegation which he succeeded in doing, whilst also taking the club to an FA Cup semi-final for the first time in over 40 years.[17] In his second season, Blackburn surprised even the most optimistic supporters by finishing inside the top six of the Premier League and qualifying for the UEFA Cup, beating teams such as Chelsea, Manchester United (twice) and Arsenal along the way. After just missing out on the League Cup final, his team sealed their spot in Europe by defeating champions Chelsea 1–0 at home.[18] On 4 May 2006, Hughes and assistant Mark Bowen signed new three-year contracts to remain at Blackburn until the summer of 2009.[19] Hughes then set about creating a formidable side at Ewood Park. He entered the transfer market, bringing in players such as Benni McCarthy (£2 million), David Bentley (£500,000), Ryan Nelsen (free), Stephen Warnock (£1.5 million), Roque Santa Cruz (£3.5 million), and Christopher Samba (£400,000). Rovers finished 10th in the Premier League in 2006–07, and reached the UEFA Cup round of 32, where they were knocked out by Bayer Leverkusen 3–2 on aggregate.[20] Rovers faced Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, their third consecutive semi-final since Hughes took charge. The match ended in defeat 2–1.[21] He won the October 2007 Award for the Premier League Manager of the Month,[22] and eventually led Blackburn to a league finish of 7th in 2007–08, Hughes' final season in charge at Ewood Park. During his spell in charge of Blackburn, Hughes' side was accused of being "over-physical" and "dirty" on multiple occasions[23][24][25] and the club finished bottom of the Premier League disciplinary table in all four of Hughes' seasons in charge.

Finished? Maybe at the top level but for a club like us, QPR etc he's an excellent signing. Rarely works that way. You could see it last season, his performances were extremely poor. Ditching him just like he did Butt, O'Shea, Brown, Neville, Smith, Silvestre etc at exactly the right time. Oh the 'experience' and 'winning mentality' but this never translates. You just get expensive players who are on the wain, often crocks and happy to take one last payday at a level they probably mentally still think they're above. It's an acceptance of your position in the food chain taking on these trashy handydowns and will never result in progressing a club. Not just Man Utd that do it either, Chelsea have ditched these same type of players consistently just at the tipping point - Geremi, Gronkjaer, Cole, Duff, Bridge, Babayaro. Trash, trash and more trash yet some mug will always take them on. You may get the odd decent performance out of these players but generally they're past their best and don't have the same motivation that a young, hungry player will have. It's these kind of players that will progress a club forward long term. Harsh on Brown and O'Shea who have both done well at Sunderland and I think Park will fit into their category. He'll be an excellent signing for QPR.

Fair enough,we all have our opinions on what makes a good midfielder. Although to be fair i haven't described him as a headless chicken anywhere in my post,i would agree that he has a good engine but we have enough players in our midfield who have a good engine. In my opinion he wouldn't change the dynamics of our side as he doesn't possess enough creativity and would just be much more of the same as what we have. Your point about him being better than anything we have got is probably valid if you're talking about central midfield but that is where i think he is least effective. Also i really don't remember him having a good goal scoring record, although i may be proved wrong? This would soon be a non goal scoring record if he was sitting in our cage. In my opinion we need someone who can put his foot on the ball and play defence splitting passes to the forward line and get the team going even if it is from a deep position, and Park isn't and never will be that man.
