For me he's just not a man that can cope with pressure. It will always stop him being a top manager.

For £2mill that will be the bargain of the season!! Always thought he would fit Pulis like a hand in a glove with his work rate and further more the guy has quality to boot. Great midfielder, far better than any one we have. Stoke are desperate for quality playmakers - not central defenders

Would you call him a quality playmaker? Or an energetic destroyer. He got played in that huge game at citeh at the end of the season and got slaughtered by everyone watching. Never got near the citeh midfield and Fergie new he can't do what he used to and his time was up at united.

Very poor management. He's a very good signing by QPR and shows their intent to not struggle again this season.

He's certainly not a bad player, but for united to let him go, and for the small amount says more to me.

I'm not saying Stoke should or could of signed him. Coates won't pay the wages. This is what holds us back and why we have to wait until 1st September.

Are you feeling alright mate? Not all no. But he does lack imagination in the transfer market but on the whole his signings have been ok. Some duffers but no manager hasn't made the odd ricket in the transfer market.

I just hope we can bring in some good technical ability. TP wil always extract maximum effort out of all his players over a season. Combine that with more imagination, flare and technical ability and we should do well.

Very surprised by this - Was always Mr reliable and Fergusson always seemed to favour him for the big games. Old Boys network obviously works wonders.

I really like Park Ji Sung. £2 million as a start seems a bit of a bargain even at his age imo.

All about united isn't it. They bring in Kagawa and then Park is surplus to requirements.
Park leaving was likely a pre arranged deal, providing United got Kagawa sorted.

Finished? Maybe at the top level but for a club like us, QPR etc he's an excellent signing.

Funny how they sign park just before they fly out to Asia for their pre season tour. His press conference had over 60 reporters from Asia on one flight.

Finished? Maybe at the top level but for a club like us, QPR etc he's an excellent signing. Rarely works that way. You could see it last season, his performances were extremely poor. Ditching him just like he did Butt, O'Shea, Brown, Neville, Smith, Silvestre etc at exactly the right time. Oh the 'experience' and 'winning mentality' but this never translates. You just get expensive players who are on the wain, often crocks and happy to take one last payday at a level they probably mentally still think they're above. It's an acceptance of your position in the food chain taking on these trashy handydowns and will never result in progressing a club. Not just Man Utd that do it either, Chelsea have ditched these same type of players consistently just at the tipping point - Geremi, Gronkjaer, Cole, Duff, Bridge, Babayaro. Trash, trash and more trash yet some mug will always take them on. You may get the odd decent performance out of these players but generally they're past their best and don't have the same motivation that a young, hungry player will have. It's these kind of players that will progress a club forward long term.

Finished? How the fuck can he be finished? You look at Man Utds line ups when they have played an important league or European cup tie, his name will be there, Fergie always played him in his most important games

I'm not saying Stoke should or could of signed him. Coates won't pay the wages. This is what holds us back and why we have to wait until 1st September. Maybe if we didn't feel the need to pay premium prices for average & over the hill players we could up the wage bill a bit, especially if we had a good youth system in place with a manager that would use them, but we all know this won't happen under Pulis too. Besides, if money is the issue then why don't we loan players that are a step up from what we have. Infact, when did Pulis last loan a player? This is the man that won't waste "The Coates family money" . A mix of Youth, loan signings, experience and a slightly upped wage bill is the only way forward for a club of our size, not spending £18Million on the Palacios' and Crouch's of this world.

Don't know what all the fuss is about ,we have enough headless chickens. Exactly what i was thinking. I don't think he would make us any better a side to be honest,we need some creativity not another bloke who will run his arse off for 90 mins with no end product.
