We've swam the channel and won the lottery if we can get £5m.
If we get more than £4m, we've done well.
Shame as he could be a star for us if he had the attitude of Walters or self-belief of Fuller.
There's no point him staying, though, and getting a reasonable fee for him in the next couple of months is one of the priorities.

To be honest everything the Sunderland fans predicted for him came to pass. We will pass on the same sad tale to West Ham. Likewise one day they will pass it on to another. And so Kewyne's career will continue with unfulfilled promise. To think at one time in his career people were touting him to be the next Drogba! Such a pity.

He will haunt us if and when he goes and has quite a few years to do it personally I think he has been very very shabbily treated .

Your probably right FM on the price but i have a feeling a certain Carlton Cole may be involved in any deal for Kenwyne.

Dunno, Muttley.
If he wasn't prepared to join us last summer, after having an offer accepted, you wouldn't think he'd be joining us this summer.
He was congratulating himself after their play-off win for his decision to stay put, even though he had to take a 50% wage drop to do so

I was impressed by Cole last season but can't see how he could play with Crouchy. For me I'd prefer Vaz Te but I'm not convinced he'd be a hit in the PL. The only players I'd take in an exchange deal would be Collison or Noble and I couldn't see them coming.

All this talk of swap deals, how often do they actually happen in English football?

All this talk of swap deals, how often do they actually happen in English football? They're not that unusual, Rob. Probably about as common as those deals where the selling club says "you can only have Player X if you also take Player Y off our hands".

Big Sam tried to Buy him when he was at Blackburn so can see this happening we should rip there hands off if they offer £5mill and put it towards the jarvis bid.

Yeah - he was talking really enthusiastically about him. He definitely seems an Allardyce player. Mind you, everyone thought he was a Pulis player. He just hasn't got the mentality, has he? Everyone thinks they can be the one to unleash the fire within him and give him that killer instinct - and nobody really can. www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Stoke-City-Jones-key-cup-success-Stoke-says-Big-Sam/story-12492993-detail/story.html

He'd fit in well with the Big Sam style and I think £4-5M would be a fair price as be has the talent, no doubt about it, but his attitude is poor to say the very least. That said he could easily score 10 goals next season in the right system.

I've always liked Kenwyne, and still do. But since the arrival of Crouchy, there was no chance for Kenwyne. Ok so he will move on, hope that its a good deal for all concerned.

You lot are feckin mad,Rodriguez has just gone for 7 million with no prem experiecnce.
Caroll went for 35 million ,prem prices for strikers are rising. They are the most sought after commodity ,every manager will think they can light Kenwynes fire. Kenwyn is no better or worse than when he was at Sunderland and still similarly values with years left in him..
Start at 10 million and accept what we paid around 8million.

Whatever we get people should remember that we still owe the bulk of it to Sunderland since we are paying for him in annual instalments. It would free up his wages of course but not really any money to be made with KJ.

I don't think we've got a cat in hell's chance of getting that from any club in England to be honest. What you have to ask yourself is what you'd be happy to see Stoke pay for him if he was at another club and in my opinion £8m would be too much. If we could get £5m for him we'll have done well.

Think we owe another 4m to Sunderland for Jones, assuming 4 payments of 2m each over 4 years.

£8m was too much anyway, Sunderland must of been clapping their hands when we signed him. He came on loan to us in the Championship but wasn't very good (on the ground more than on his feet), we saw 12 minutes of magic on his debut at Wolves but nothing after.

Rodriguez has gone for silly money but his stock is high. KJ's stock has fallen - he's lost his place and rarely gets a look in. Who in their right mind is going to offer what we paid for a lower mid table reserve player?
