I remember Bolton fans saying the same of Megson And Blackburn fans of Big sam And Wolves fans of Mad Mick. That worked out well, didn't it ;D Oh please, spare us. Bolton and Wolves were both in the bottom three under Megson and McCarthy. You know for a fact that they would've stayed up had they not been sacked do you? The Blackburn dismissal of Allardyce was ludicrous, an act compounded by the appointment of Steve Kean. That would be like us sacking TP and installing Kemp or O'Connor as his successor! You trot out these clubs to suit this flimsy argument, yet fail to mention clubs who've replaced their manager and done very well thank you...West Brom haven't suffered having replaced DiMatteo, Newcastle sacked Hughton and are now looking forward to a season in Europe, Wigan and Fulham have had several managers since promotion and still survive, QPR have stayed up having sacked their manager mid-season, Sunderland got rid of Bruce and have improved. That's not to say that I want to see our manager sacked, but if the clubs listed above can survive a change of manager (several in some cases) relatively comfortably, then why should Stoke City - a stable financial top flight club - be any different?

I sit firmly on the fence on this one, its often better the devil you know, BUT, can any of you Pulis diehards put your hand on heart and say next season is going to be different / more entertaining? Are you going to be happy with 14th? Do you honestly see him taking the club up a notch a la Newcastle? After the performances since Christmas do you think he can tempt quality players to come and play percentage footy? Its all well and good being a part of the supposed best league in the world if you contribute, don't get me wrong, when we are on song and "at it" we are bloody good to watch, but that is too few and far between. Oh, and if any of you can explain the tactical nous of subbing a consistently good center back in Upson with Shotton with absolutely no need then I would love to hear it. I am grateful for what we have but believe it or not it COULD be better.

I don't think anyone can argue about us needing to improve, but please stop mentioning Newcastle. When are you going to get it in your heads that they've been in the Prem. for years compared to our 4, and no team is going to have a season like theirs in their 5th season. As for the OP, I don't think anyone is too interested in your opinions, maybe you should start supporting a side more local to you.
