Besiktas he scored via a deflection but was so so............Sunderland was no threat at all - Derby and Gills did ok v lower league sides. Two Prem games and he was completely average in one and sent off in the other. Sunderland he was our only chance of a goal all game. Same when he came on against Fulham. Same even in his five minute cameo against Liverpool at Anfield. Nothing depresses me like Stoke fans desperate to write off Ricardo Fuller. Not writing him off at all.............just saying he isn't worth a 3 year deal. Another thing I'm also not doing is seeing something that didn't happen because he's my favourite player etc If he will accept a one year deal then all well and good but to put him on a new long contract would be a waste Try commenting on something I actually wrote next time

He was in toys r us today with mrs And her kid! He seemed absolutely fine.. He was mucking about with a spiderman mask trying to scare his mrs little girl. His mrs ain't to shabby either! Suppose if he hasn't trained all week though he won't be playing.

I'd rather ironside with aids than Walters and think he would have more chance of scoring

If he had proper flu he wouldn't be tweeting, let alone playing on Saturday. I think you mean he has a cold. He didn't for about 4 days, he said he felt crap and had a bad stomach then went quiet. Came back day before first training session.

Hardly been many straws though have there? Nobody is really in any position to write him off or on given how sparingly he's been used since his injury. I'm still of the opinion that he could still do a good job for us. For a team desperately lacking flair, pace and a creative spark I'd say he is well worth having a proper look at still.

A bloke gets sent off now and again having been one of the most influential and important players in the club's recent history and it's the last straw? Do me a favour. Being the messiah doesn't come into it. We should always be looking to improve but we are woefully short of creativity and until it's been definitively proven he's past it we should look to keep hold of him, for another year at least. It's a shame it's not going to happen, but that's football.

Sorensen Wilkinson Huth Shawcross Wilson Deano--Palacios--Whelan Walters Fuller---Crouch I'd like that formation too. But it's inevitable that Walters will drop ridiculously deep and create a massive gap between MF and ST. Walters would probably be sitting in front of palacios

I like that team too WD/Paul. I think Pennant (and Ethers) will be on the bench though I don't see us bringing both on in the game. I'm still expecting Shotton to appear on the right wing though and if not, Delap will play instead of Palacios......

Fuller looks half the player - maybe that's because he's had half the games.

High in the rafters, outnumbered by the Toon....Ugly football played to its beautiful best & the biggest robbery since Michael Caine took the Mafia gold in Turin
Start the cars, head for the A1M.....The Toon 2-2 The Potters

I am supremely confident that we can lose this game by at least 3 goals. I am also predicting that we will score nil. Then again, as I have stated before, I am the most pessimistic of pessimistic cunts.

Can't say I'm looking forward to the long drive up to Newcastle. Hopefully we'll put in a good performance and rain on the Toon's parade. If I'm honest i haven't got much of a positive attitude and I suspect that will diminish further when the team news reaches us in Shearer's Bar. Nailed on 1-0 win to Stoke then!

Whatever angle I look at this game from I can't see any way on this earth that we will get anything out of it. It's like a Cup Final for Newcastle and for all TP's motivational skills how the heck can he tease the "do or die" performance it would need from our lads to get anything out of this game when mentally they must be half way to a spit-roast session with a couple of slappers in the Sheraton Hotel in Sardinia? Even if TP somehow could we would still need a big slice of luck and the ref to cut us some slack on some of our more robust defending. One thing for sure is will need a clean sheet since they are more likely to find little men running around on Mars than we are to score a goal today.

I am so pleased that my general misery surrounding our away performances can, at least, spread a little happiness to some people. As usual at this time on a Saturday I am contemplating either watching the game, or putting myself in an ancient Japanese stress position for an hour and a half.
