Not just for his goals in the past two games - but he has been truely fantastic this year....solid at the back and always a threat at the other end
Just Brilliant

Is almost single handedly keeping us in the Prem with his defending and goals... (granted not as prolific in front of goal this season give or take the last week)
But already a Stoke City legend and long may we keep hold of him.....

Hope he knows how well thought of he is by the fans too - not that he'll care ... he's heartless and made of steel

12 months left on his deal.
The silence on this one is worrying when you're talking about one of our really top, irreplaceable assets.

Have a feeling we'll be losing him either this summer for a fee or next on a free. There is no smoke without fire and his family moving house was the start of it I reckon. I genuinely hope i'm wrong but the signs are there.

To be fair, could you really blame him if he got offered the same money at a London club if that's where the family is based?
As you say, Seddon, we may have to face the prospect of cashing in on him this summer? Sounds drastic, but there does't exactly seem a rush on his part to extend, does there?

He's our most important player. Quiet leader and the glue that binds a very mean defence.
If only we could have seen him alongside Shatniuk. Scary!

At the start of the second half, Ethers shirked a tackle. What did TP do, shouted across the Huth to have a word with him. If that didn't ginger Ethers up nothing would.

We should do our best to tie him to the club for years. Classic defender who is up there with the best we have had at the back over the years.

Worrying. huddysboots last post was to advise Crouch and Palacios were in talks last August. Relax, the one before that was this one in a thread about a new assistant in 2010: "steve bould is a rumour i have heard, ready to take over from tp in 2 years time,tp to be retired to be jr replacement upstairs seems to make sense" Ok scratch that, worry.

Was about to post the same. Absolute machine again. Shawcross has been good but not in the same league as huthinator. Huth is excellent but I really don't understand why we have to always compliment him with an implied criticism of Shawcross. We also don't seem to like players at Stoke who just go about their job without a song and dance. He is not better than Shawcross and neither was Faye! But if you read this Board, you could be forgiven for thinking that Shawcross had been the luckiest centre-half in the world! He just so happens to have played with two outstanding partners, in Huth and Faye! I suppose that Upson is four times the player as well; which would account for Shawcross almost single handedly keeping Liverpool at bay earlier in the Season. Huth has cost us a couple of goals this year by heading the ball straight to an opposing midfielder; not that you would have worked that out from reading this forum. If it had been Shawcross, or Wilson, they would have had a six page thread all to themselves. I hope we don't lose Huth; I genuinely think he is a great player and a great character and more to the point, they have a great understanding. They are one of the best partnerships in the Premier League. But he is not better than Shawcross. He is turned more easily, he is slower and he needlessly fouls the opposition more often. Let's just celebrate having them both without some ill-founded implied and wholly unfair criticism of our outstanding Captain!

All I can say is it would be a real shame if we lost Huth ...he's an outstanding player, but TP likes buying full backs so maybe he has a plan?? ..

Since Huth signed for Stoke in August 2009, no other defender has scored more goals in the Premier League

In case you didn't realise; he's a massive German youth, who'll knock out your tooth while defending with all his might both to the left and indeed the right and he also defecates on Rio Ferdinand.

Huth is an absolute legend. Im so glad Pulis moved away from his right back idea for him to accomodate Woodgate.
I like Shawcross too but for me, Huth is by miles our best centre half. I'd be gutted if Stoke didnt move heaven and earth to keep him at the club. For me, if Shawcross did leave the club, Huth is destined to be skipper.
Colossus!! Huth is irreplaceable in our line up.

have been told today that the deal is done Arsenal have secured his services my informant has rarely been wrong and works within the club at a senior level . This would be devastating news for the club. He has been the player of the season again in my opinion.. Have his family already moved then? We need to get something going from our supporters to try and influence a good deal for him if that is remotely possible.
