Or...Labour loses one of its safest parliamentary seats in the strongest sign yet that leader Ed Miliband is failing to cash in on disenchantment with the Conservative government.

Love or hate Gorgeous George he was spot on about it being a rejection of all three main parties. Politicians in Westminster talking about fucking Pasties whilst George was on the street talking about millionaires sending poor peoples children to be slain in illegal and fuckwitted conflicts.
Go on George.

He's a pompous oaf. His victory speech said "it was the greatest by-election victory ever"...
...but he knows how to strike a chord with some, and he's a good speaker. But he is definitely not gorgeous in any way, shape or form.

I agree with redstriper the man's an arch self-publicist and not much else. Be interesting to see how he does come the general election in 2015. Probably not very well.

I suspect, due to his anti Iraq war stance and pro Islamist leaning, that this was the reason for his victory. This would appeal to the largely Asian electorate and is not really an accurate reflection on nationwide opinion IMO.

According to the analysis he did very well in he predominantly white wards as well.

With gas and electricity and petrol and food prices going through the roof... With people losing their jobs all over the place.. With the Government making huge cut backs in public services (yet to be felt by most people) You would have thought Labour would have won this by-election by a land-slide But up pops George Galloway to split the Left wing vote and people are aplauding him Dave Cameron and George Osbourne must be laughing their silk socks off

Dave Cameron and George Osbourne must be laughing their silk socks off I don't think so. On the basis that this seat was actually up there on their wanted list to form a Government on their own, without their sell out patsies, it was a pretty desperate night for the Tories as well.

What George doesn't like to be made public is his extravagant lifestyle and commuting trips back home to his pad on the Algarve in Portugal. This guy is pure pantomine and ego. There is nothing genuine about him. It suits his cause fighting the Bradford ward with its big muslim population. The British public feel disenfranchised with politics , but more importantly they simply do not understand it , or how it works. George Osbourne does and makes a lucrative career out of it at the same time. He is an absolute disgrace and traitor to not only the Labour party , but to all those young British soldiers who have lost their lives in all forign conflicts just recently.
He should be put up against a wall and shot.

Yes mumf when we inevitably start slaughtering Iranian civilians and sending poor British teenagers to a certain death, solely to ensure that rich people can remain rich, it will be Galloway's fault.
18,000 people have decided that we are in fact a disgusting country and they've had enough.

SO what do you think about a regime that harbors and trains terrorists, rigs elections to stay in power, uses force to keep its people at bay, has said it will wipe Israel off the face of the earth, have a nuclear bomb ?
