Vale into admin if tomorrows game called off? Rumours abound on one of their message boards anyways. Guessing they'd take £80k-£100k on the gate for a deby match, could be the tipping point if they lose that ???

You never know your luck Pitch inspection at 12:30. can't honestly see the game going ahead. I was told a few weeks back that unless they had money put into them by the end of March they would have no option but to go into admin. losing prob the highest gate of the season has got to have a massive impact on cash flow.

fuck em.
i really don't give a shit whether they sink or swim. I'd feel sorry for a few of the vale lads i know who've stuck by them but lets face it, if the Vale was a horse you'd put it out of it's misery.
if they go bump, or even just quietly drop out of the league, Stoke will reap the benefits of being, in the words of cup semi commentator "a one club city"

Maybe in a generation, but still, Vale support runs in the family and they'd probably still support the new AFC Vale.

From a purely practical perspective, no vale is good for us.

As a club that is living week-to-week, losing 2 home matches in a row is bound to cripple them.
Wouldn't surprise me if they said the game was on, got people through the turnstile and then said at 2:45pm that it was off.

Very very sad.
Never thought i'd live to see the day that us humble Stoke supporters would see the Mighty Vale booted out of the Football League.
It will be a crying shame to see the back end of "The Wembley Of The North". Unless of course you are free of a Sunday afternoon to coach the "Black and White Lads n Dads Special Needs Team".
They can kiss my hairy bare arse. Bastards.
Bye bye.

Why would tomorrow's game be called off? I doubt we'll get much snow overnight.

Why would tomorrow's game be called off? I doubt we'll get much snow overnight. I don't think they have under pitch heating so the pitch will be frozen. I remember at the Vic snow was a good thing because it would sit on the covers and insulate the pitch to stop it from freezing and could then be cleared away in time for the match.

I know a few 'Valiants' that a few years ago would spit at the mention of the word Stoke that have now been to more Stoke games than they have Vale this season. It just goes to show how poor things are at Vale now but tbf do we want such fair-weather fans at the Brit?

When Vale had their brief spell above us when we were in the doldrums in the 90s the attitude of the majority of their fans towards our plight leaves me little sympathy for them now. However, football rivalries aside, if they do go bump their £2.5 million council loan will presumably go unpaid, which may lead to more cuts in services for the rest of the city. With this and the losses to other local businesses who they owe money to I hope they stay afloat just to do the honourable thing and pay their debts. After that I don't really care what happens to them either way.

I for one would not celebrate the Vale going under.
My family apart from me and my sister are dyed in the wool Vale fans.
I even pop down every now and then to watch them when I can't make a Stoke away match.
Ah well-I suppose everything comes to an end? ;D

I wouldn't like to see them or any other club, (apart from Man Ure) go under. I don't like the Vale, but unlike lots on here I don't hate them either, I think they're irrelevant to us and going on about them makes us look small-time.

there is not a hope in hell that any minor soccer games will be played this saturday. wether that pushes vale in admin i dont know but i feel its just a matter of time b4 the inevitable. what i dont understand is at the start of the season they were given a fixture list and december was allways going to be a quiet month for them so why didnt they plan accordingly?or did the thick deluded fuckers plan for a cup run and a plum tie in the third round? i suspect this was the case hence taking out loans. anybody responsible for running a buisiness who spends money they may not get is crinimal in my eyes and should be jailed for fraud. lets be honest who will pay for all the debts i.e. police bill, council tax, local suppliers that will be us the tax payers of staffordshire

Losing the revenue of a home game is a huge loss to clubs like Vale that basically live from game to game. Add to that the fans being driven away by the goings on with the board and its no wonder they are in the shit. Being in the prem and having a chairman like Coates has, I think, made some people take things for granted a bit. I wouldn't want to see the Vale go into admin at all. My lad plays for them in their academy.

Why would tomorrow's game be called off? I doubt we'll get much snow overnight. Have you been outside? It's like a bloomin' ice-rink. Even if the pitch wasn't frozen, there'd have been mass casualties on the way to the match - OK, it's the Vale, so maybe "mass" is the wrong word to use, but you know what I mean.

For your entertainment I would like to share this gem of a post taken off the OneValeFan site. The level of self delusion and ability to history re-write almost deserves applause. It is response to a question regarding who in their right mind would invest in Port vale! Vale were the biggest club success wise based on what? The one season that they were in a league above us? Vale have national recognition while Stoke were a forgotten club in the 90s??? Vale put the Potteries on the map!!!! ;D ;D ;D the Victoria Ground was an dangerous antique? What in comparison to Tumbledown three sided Vale Park FFS? What the fuck history have Port Vale got??? When did Stoke become the bigger club??? The day Vale began to exist you deluded twat! Its just breathtaking!
