Other teams play them.
One piece of quality settled the game today from a lad plucked from Sunderland's reserves.
Perhaps Marshall could of done the same for us today? Unfortunately we'll never know.
Never mind, we'll plod on with Delap.

Didn't Sunderland (Bruce for that matter) buy McClean in the summer for a ridiculously small price?
That does raise the argument about our scouting systems though, or lack of.

Never mind, we'll plod on with Delap. Delap was superb again today. He completely ran the game when we were down to 10 men. Released from the cage, he got forwards, was closest to scoring of all our players and dominated, as usual in the air. His stamina and energy are incredible and the way in which he drove us forward over and over again is the stuff of legends. Its a shame that other players don't show his leadership and desire.

That does raise the argument about our scouting systems though, or lack of. £350,000 from Derry City. Mind, it has since transpired that Bruce didn't know anything about him and he was signed by our chief scout and Niall Quinn. In fact, O'Shea, Brown, and Cattermole went to Bruce earlier in the season to plead with him to play McClean but Bruce didn't have the bottle.

Lets show a bit of respect to the Sunderland player killed at The Brit today.
Cut down in his prime; decapitated.
RIP.

Bruce is useless!

He nearly put half our team in hospital with several hospital balls. Terrible again, and I'm one of his fans...

I love Delap. He was crap today.
This is the truth, march. Seriously, if you believe what you've put you lose credibility. As stated above, his passing was simply scandalous.

Delap is awful. He's been a good player for us but its clearly now time to get rid. He wouldn't get into any other premier league side!!!!! I doubt he'd get a run in most championship sides. He never looks to get involved when we have the ball. When our defenders have the ball, he isnt even watching the ball, he's looking the other way and waiting for it to sail over his head. He gives our defenders no other option but to hoof it. At least Whelan does come short sometimes to take the ball of the defenders and get us passing it forward instead of launching it time after time. Rory is becoming an embarrasment, he's now that bad.

People talk of Rorys stamina, he's only got 1 pace, the trudge. Opposing players can side step and jog past him and Rory just trudges after them. my head drops when i hear Rory, Woodgate and Walter's names on the teamsheet. (i like Walters but he's been off the boil now for some time)

He did nothing today of note, ran around with no direction for 90 mins, gave the ball away time and time again, and continues with then those shitting incessant throw-ins!!! AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHH!!! Not sure if ur on a wind-up, but he needs replacing with a better player in the summer for christs sake.

It was a good goal but ultimately caused by one of our own, who we've 'nurtured' making a very basic error, coupled with a centre half who was shit scared to put in a tackle, having seen his fellow centre half removed from the game without actually touching a player.
Other than that, the youth was largely anonymous.

BUT WE CANT JUDGE ON TODAYS GAME !! Dire conditions and they got the luck !!

Never mind, we'll plod on with Delap. Cuvelier sounds pretty good. Shotton and Wilko both came through our academy. Why do you think Marshall left us? I think it's most likely he wanted to sign for a Championship side because he knew he would get first team football. Had he stayed with us he would have had to fight for a place against two decent Premier League quality wingers. Fair play to the lad, he's made his decision but I don't think we can necessarily blame Pulis, Delap or Stoke City F.C. for his departure. We also made a tidy profit on his sale too.

Shawcross was too scared to put in a tackle and our own product of our own Academy, whom many on here scream for every other week, dropped an almighty error by chasing a ball out that didn't need to be chased. Defensively it was an absolute shocker. I genuinely can't remember him doing anything else worthy of note.

he did Wilko quite a few times second half. Very good prospect and physically imposing (like Bale) too.
Whereas any potential attacking flair we cart off down the M1 and play Walters out wide.
