FFS, Stoke - how long are you going to wait to fill that second bloody plane?
Get 'em on sale to the priority membership categories NOW !!!
Then, we might have half a hope of getting some more from Valencia. Certainly more hope than doing fook all...

Good point - we will have a better chance of securing an extra allocation if we can show just how quickly the first allocation sell. SCFC then might create a waiting list (as they have done for FA Cup tickets), again giving UEFA the opportunity to have less fans in Valencia without a ticket!
I believe that the Platinum Plus membership is limited to 500. Do we know how many Platinum members are registered?
Everyone of these members won't be going however!

The continued silence from the club is staggering and demonstrates an utter lack of respect for anyone unwilling to bend over and take a £419 rogering...

Yeah I posted that. 500 Plat+ and 2300 Plat. Confirmed by the club. A bit of concern then Approx 500 on official planes (some of these could be Plat + or Plat members of course) 500 Plat plus members Estimated 2300 plat members Only 2300 tickets currently allocated. Come on Stoke lets show UEFA that we need some more!

I was also told they are appealing to get more so were holding off just in case they are successful and can issue more tickets in the window for each category , only concern I have I travel on the 14th !

From the email I had it looks like approx. 400 on the official travel.
I think it is very unlikely the tickets will make it to Season Ticket Holders/Gold Members.
400 official + 500 Plat+ and then 2300 Plat = 3,200.
I know not all Plat+ and Plat will go but our actuall allocation is only 1900 when you take off the official travellers who are guaranteed a ticket.
There only needs to be 1,900 of the 2,800 fans that are Plat+ and Plat who take up the option of a ticket and thats it.
Not everyone in those 2 categories will be going but you can guarantee even a percentage of those not travelling will be lending their Plat card to a friend who wants to travel.
It will either not make Gold level or there will be very few which will cause a "queuing 24 hours in advance to stand a chance and even then not guaranteed" scenario.

Perhaps the club is feverishly devising some genius ballot system to give all Platinums equal opportunity. If it's simply first come, first served they'll have a serious issue on their hands from those who miss out.
However, that completely ignores the needs of a further 20,000+ ST holders (Golds) and other fringe memberships.
How is the club improving their chances by doing nothing with the initial allocation?
Come on Stoke - get 'em sold then there's more weight behind asking VCF/UEFA for more in the same area of the ground...

Dear Mr Beech,
Thank you for your emails regarding our allocation for the Valencia match which have been passed on to me.
The situation as it stands at the moment is that we have 2,300 tickets for the game, of which some will be taken for the Official Supporters trips.
There are 345 places on the two planes going over, although there are still a few places left on the second plane.
Despite putting our case for more tickets when a delegation from the club visited Valencia last week, it seems unlikely at this stage that we will get anymore.
Had there been an option to take more, we would certainly have done so.
We are continuing to exert pressure on Valencia and UEFA to address this matter and consider offering us more tickets.
They are basing their decision on the fact that Chelsea and Manchester United were given the same number of tickets for Champions League matches and did not sell the entire allocation.
We can well understand the concern among fans because we anticipate that the tickets will sell out quickly.
I would point out that Valencia’s three home matches in the Champions League were well down on their capacity – 22,000 in the case of Chelsea – and it would appear that they are expecting Stoke fans to buy tickets in the home areas.
It is, of course, a situation we would avoid doing in England, but it seems they will permit this to happen over there.
We will continue to do all we can to try and secure more tickets.

Media and Communications Manager

The reason they can't sell any is they have not got the tickets from Valencia yet.

Of course the sooner we can demonstrate to Valencia how quickly we can sell our allocation, then the better chance we've got of being given more tickets to supply the very many people who are going to miss out otherwise.
However there isn't a cat in hell's chance that the'yre going to put the tickets on sale until they've filled that second plane.
Got to get the priorities right of course ...
EDIT: ryd ... ;D

The reason they can't sell any is they have not got the tickets from Valencia yet. At last! The voice of reason I wouldn't be too worried about not getting a ticket from Stoke. The Mestalla holds 55,000. If they can't get more than 22000 for a must-win Champions League game against Chelsea, they aren't going to get more than that against us. Their average attendance is just under 47000, so even if they get that many it still leaves 8000 spare tickets. What we should be talking about is what area of the ground we should be trying to get tickets for if we miss out.

They should have just sold "receipts" to Stoke fans wishing to purchase a ticket for the match. At the moment its all guess work and no one has a clue of the actual number travelling for this tie, although I'm pretty sure it will be in excess of 2,300.
Once the club had sold 4,000 receipts to Stokies they could have put forward a pretty strong case for additional allocation.

Do you remember a few years ago when they were considering dropping the season ticket prices. They asked people to pledge to buying a season ticket if they were offered at a certain price and if they got enough pledges (I think it was 12,000) they would sell them at that price. They could have done something similar here I guess. Perhaps put a dummy Valencia ticket on the ticketsales website for £0 and you can just go and add it to your basket and checkout. That way they could go to UEFA and Valencia and say "We have X amount of people who have said they want a ticket - give us some more".

They have said they haven't got them ruts. Doesn't make a blind bit of sense to me. Oh, in that case I'll pipe down - apologies Stoke... It doesn't stack up for me though ruts. The draw was made, what six week ago? Away leg tickets have been turned around in seven days during the campagin already this season. If you were going to send a delegation to Valencia requesting an increase in the allocation, then the very least you would have done is ensured that you returned with the tickets that were going to be available. If the club weren't going to canvas the supporter base with a deposit scheme enabling them to supply Valencia with a demonstrable figure of the numbers intending to travel, then the simplest alternative would have been to make sure that we came back with the tickets and got them on sale. Valencia play in Europe every single season, they are completely used to having to produce tickets for the way allocation quickly, why all of sudden, is it taking them two months to do so for the visit of Stoke Ctiy?

I for one, as a Gold member, don't think I will get the two tickets we need from Stoke. As I will be in Valencia early evening Wednesday I will be going down to the ground, if ticketless, first thing Thursday, with hangover, to get them and I should be able to post on here the situation. From what has been said on all related posts I would be amazed if we can't get in. If not then we find a bar to watch it in. It will have to be a F...ing big one mind to get the rest of the ticketless Stokies in !

Well, if Valencia want pockets of pissed-up Stokies all over their stadium puking up over the locals shoes then more fool them. I just hope for the club's sake we don't make the wrong type of news. Totally avoidable and totally daft when there's every chance the stadium will only be three quarters full. Anyone know the Spanish for, 'Please can I be moved up there with that lot..."

Totally avoidable and totally daft when there's every chance the stadium will only be three quarters full. Anyone know the Spanish for, 'Please can I be moved up there with that lot..." My thoughts exactly. It would have been so easy for the club to set up some kind of receipt system, go to Valencia and say "Look, we've sold 4,000 already, either give us a bigger allocation or be prepared for Stokies to be scattered all over the place". The last thing either club wants is any trouble yet it appears neither side is doing anything to assist the situation. If they haven't sold out all season, plus this is apparently not a big draw for them, why not just give us a 5,000 allocation and allow us all to purchase tickets without all this panic, and have all us all sitting together without a bucket load of Stokies bombarding the ticket office on the day trying to sort tickets out??

I think the onus is and always has been on US to demonstrate how many are intending to travel.
You can hardly blame Valencia for not giving us more tickets when clubs like Chelsea and ManU didn't sell out.
Of course it is a much more unique game for our supporters but really and truly it was upto to SCFC to offer some sort of solid evidence about the numbers who have booked up for Spain.
And I'd suggest that's still the case now ... if they're bothered that is.
