If thats the case then fair enough.
Its still wrong that fans have to do this to get tickets, in addition to the fact you are paying above market price.

The reason they can't sell any is they have not got the tickets from Valencia yet. If that's the case then why not say so and treat everybody with a little more respect. It really isn't hard to keep people up to date if there's the will to do so... I agree, an update to explain the situation would go some way to keeping all supporters on board - even if its just to say that the tickets wont be arriving until - DATE - which means that the earliest they will be available is DATE. As the 2nd flight is going ahead, they should also assume that it will be full. Some fans will be tempted to use this option if they miss out via the usual route. They will create a waiting list I guess, in which case any tickets not taken up by the 2nd flight (maybe a handful) would be available. To be fair their hands are tied by UEFA - however an update would be courteous.

jeycov, I posted this link earlier on in this thread, but I'll post it again. www.stokecityfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10310~2579239,00.html It states that "City have, however, pointed out that tickets are not likely to go on sale until the start of next month once they have been received from Valencia." I'm not quite sure how you expect the club to say when the tickets will be arriving and going on sale, as the printing and shipping of the tickets by Valencia is completely out of their hands. Once they get the tickets then they'll be able to say when they are going on sale.

Get the fucking tickets on sale. The bread and butter supporters will (and always have) seen the club through.
Not only that we need as much time as possible to make alternative arrangements

Then the ONLY option to get a ticket after they sold out would be to go on the official flight, wouldn't it? It's not rocket science. Also, Man City's away leg tickets don't go on general sale until 31 Jan and they are playing their away game a week earlier than we are, so it's not just our club that have to wait a long time for tickets.

Hi Tom
The first thing I would say is if you or anyone is unable to get a ticket through ourselves never purchase tickets through an unauthorised ticket seller or ticket tout as they charge well over the odds and there is no guarantee the ticket is genuine. I would always advise supporters to purchase tickets from the club whether that is through the home or away club as that is the only official source.
I completely agree it is a massive occasion for both the supporters and everyone connected with the club. We should all be very proud of what has been achieved so far and the last thing we want is our reputation tarnished in any way. I think the issue here is that when you have a supply that outstrips demand there will always be people disappointed through the normal sales process.
The situation as it stands at the moment is that we are waiting for the tickets to arrive and are chasing with Valencia everyday to ensure they arrive asap. We have been allocated 2377 tickets to sell to our supporters from here and it has been made pretty clear that we won’t receive any more despite our protestations. However, we would certainly not put out a statement advising supporters to purchase tickets in home ends as they are tickets outside of our control.
We understand the frustration for supporters who have spent vast amounts of money on flights and accommodation for this fixture. I can assure you we echo your frustration and are eager to get the tickets on sale. However, whether we receive the tickets in the next few days or not we will hopefully make an official announcement updating supporters of the situation very soon.
Kind Regards
Josh Whittaker-Vyse
Ticket Office Manager

Only thing Stoke are bothered about is filling that second plane. They don't give a crap about us, if they did they would have done something by now to find out exactly how many are going.
Coming out and saying we haven't received the tickets yet is to pressure nervous Stokies into buying tickets on that 2nd plane. They're just playing waiting game. Wouldn't surprise me if tickets go on sale after 1st leg and Stoke say Valencia only just gave them the tickets.
As someone said earlier Valencia play in Europe every season. Are Stoke really telling us suddenly Valencia forgot the process of printing tickets for a European game?

"its not rocket science" ffs owd,for someone who is trying to be clever, you aint half fookin stupid. ;D ;D ;D ;D And why don't you think the club wouldn't dare hold back the amount of tickets they need to fill the plane? The terms of the flights state that a seat on the plane comes with a match day ticket. Taking that both flights hold the same amount of passengers, that's 254 tickets for people on them. We all know that those tickets are for the official travel, so if there are still seats on the plane when the tickets go on sale then everyone knows and has accepted that there will still be 254 tickets that won't go on sale, even if all the seats on the flights haven't been sold when the tickets go on sale. And if the club were so desperate to sell these remaining flights, why would they be trying to get MORE tickets? Surely, if your theories were true, they wouldn't want more tickets as they'd stand even less chance of filling those empty seats. But if you want to live in your world of paranoia and believe without any evidence whatsoever and contradictory to what the club has stated at least twice AND what the Ticket Office Manger has said on this thread, that the club already have the tickets but are holding onto them in order to sell a few plane tickets then fair enough. We'll find out soon enough. If there are still seats on the plane available when the tickets go on sale, you're the one that's going to look a bit "fookin stupid". To be honest, I don't really care when the tickets go on sale. My flights and accommodation are all booked. If I get my ticket a week before I go or a day before I go it makes no difference. If I don't get a ticket, then I'll just do what most others have probably accepted they'll have to do and get one in Valencia.

As the Spanish are well-known for their haste, efficiency and organisation, I'm sure you must be right. I was just wondering if you could direct me to some information on how far in advance other European teams playing against Valencia had got their tickets before the games.

this whole thing is a f--cking joke, we had near on 6 weeks since the draw and still none of us no where we stand, why do club officials go to these draws if not to organise with their future opponents tickets etc its bollocks should we beat valencia the next round is 2 weeks away how will scholes cope. I for 1 will be their with 4 other members of my family and if we cant get tickets in the away part we will sit in the home end and i personnally dont do quiet i just hope our spanish friends dont take offence. But in my eyes this just shows how much consideration football takes of its loyal fans we dont mean jack to them , and that includes our club unless you won't to join the joke £419 club, piss poor Stoke I

stokhe is perfectly reasonable, after all if the club do something wrong you slate them for it...if they don't do anything wrong then you come up with somehalf baked conspiracy theory which will indicate that it is in some way STILL the clubs fault so he can slate them anyway. i'm sure he probably lives in a little room with his mum somewhere with scores of books by Andy McNab thinking he's got the government scared with all of his secret evidence he has of UFOs, assasinations and the like. basically he isn't happy unless he's complaining about something, i presume he's related to Neil Warnock
