I get hacked off with cickle funts who forget that speech is a freedom - whether it personally offends or praises - it is here to stay. Pulis must change his tactics before it is too late.

Not fickle or a c**t ( as you so euphemistically put it ) , just worried regarding some very strange decisions and subsequently voicing this concern via a fans forum .

Some people have had the same concerns and frustrations about TP's tactics, selection policy and transfer dealings since our first season in the Prem. This can't be construed as fickleness. I'm worried and I'm pissed off. It's becoming more difficult to enjoy watching us although it's easier if we're winning of course. The poor possession stats, the lack of shots on goal and the drabness of our approach cannot be sustained without surgery of one kind or another. I don't want TP to go but I want him to evolve!

PULIS OUT. how much have we spent compared to teams like bolton swansea and we play like this every away game.think your the fickle c@#t here mate. pulis out?? my guess is that your new to supporting stoke city but i have had the pleasure?of being a stoke fan for over 30 years and tp has given me more reasons to rejoice than any other stoke manager, proberley more than aa the previous managers put together. i have seen what happens when you sack managers thats why we got relegated to div 3 not that long ago, we had decent players and a decent manager but continually changing managers just fucks up the playing pattern resulting in stoke dropping like a stone

Even if we got relegated I'd want Pulis in charge still. He'd get us back within a year or two.
EDIT: Or he's more likely to get us promoted than a new manager.

I don't think the OP thinks this is fickleness to be fair mate. The hysterical reaction to the Newcastle loss (second home league loss in 2011, the other being in the unusual cicumstances of being after losing a cup final) and the calls for Pulis' head, calling him clueless etc when we are mid table and top of our group in Europe do smack of some fans acting like spoiled kids. Criticism of team matters and expressions of disappointment are not fickle and I don't think the OP thinks so, but some do whip it up into a frenzy at every opportunity.

Season after season we keep signing a number of short term failures rather than bringing in the missing pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that we all know we need. I doubt any other team in the league plays so consistently with players out of position as we do. I could understand if we were in Evertons shoes and strapped for cash, but we've got a sizeable budget that could be better utilised.

I agree with the poster about changing managers causing problems in the past but ...... I have supported Stoke since 1968 , so 43 years through good and bad. I also know that watching football always lets you down in the end. However I really thought that this season we would move on. I can't say I've liked our style of football as it has lacked quality and Ricardo Fuller apart those bits of skill that get you out of your chair but it was obviously a means to an end and the more we were attacked by the critics there was a perverse satisfaction in supporting the underdog.
But I really think we have taken the non football approach as far as it can go and starting with QPR we need to change not only in how we play as we dont create anywhere enough chances, but also in how the team is managed. We can no longer afford to play people out of position and fading players like Woodgate and maybe Delap need to be ditched . Delap's throws were a novelty and produced results but a combination of managers working it out and referees protecting keepers is making it far less useful.
If we are not careful too many more disjointed performances will take away our biggest strength the spirit in the team and there isn't enough quality to make up for it. I'm not sure how much we've spent but surely enough to have some quality alternatives and some young guys to come in ?

It is surely clear that we are not properly equipped nor have the depth in our squad to manage a European campaign and the demands of the league. I believe that TP has got to eat some humble pie and use a 2nd string team for Europe otherwise we will find ourselves in very serious trouble. All our romantic notions of "we've come so far" and "best ever time to be a Stoke supporter " as lovely as they are will be a distant memory when we are playing championship football next season.

To be fair we are pretty much using a second string team already. A lot do travel though. In my opinion it's the lack of preparation time, tactically, physically and mentally. We only have two more group games in the next two months.

Absolutely. It's clear that Tone hasn't got the nous to manage two campaigns and keep everybody happy.

Unacceptable performance but ffs get a grip, Bolton have lost their last five home games, are still below us and not in Europe and I bet their fans have more loyalty and faith in Coyle. You're fucking embarrassing calling for Pulis' head. I'm as pissed off as anybody else at today's result but Jesus wept this is embarrassing. I'll be fucked if I ever come on this doom and gloom bullshit page again in the next few weeks. I'll be back on when results are going our way again and you're singing our praises. After the farce of those leaving early on Monday it's disgusting that anyone could suggest that we've got a good loyal passionate fanbase. Of course this doesn't apply to all but it's amazing how many PHW's come out the woodwork when things aren't going our way. Wank performance, worse support. I love it when posts like this appear, especially when short term memory loss rears its ugly head. Worse support eeh, have you been to ANY away games this season? Bolton was only the most recent dire away performances, love how the previous four are omitted.
