This doesn't excite me in the slightest. If the price is what is rumoured, I cant see this being good business

This would be amazing, crouch and jerome competing with walters and jones for the front two spots. Potentially we have 4 strikers there that could get us 12 or goals a season each.

Last minute reduction in the sales? Yep, his missus is best mates with Bendtner's mum, and she's been up 'anley market since 8am this morning, waiting for Bendtner's dad to get out of the Oatcake shop.

Crouch has turned us down a few times, now Redknapps told him he's part of the Palacios deal so its Stoke or nowhere so the lanky streak of piss is relunctantly coming to talk to us.

I think we're going to end up over-paying for Crouchy

I think we're going to end up over-paying for Crouchy Surely Sunderland pulling out has decreased his value?

Que Sera Sera. If Crouch is coming to us fine but we know TP will not break the wage structure and of course Crouchy will be fully aware of that and if he still has traveled up here then there must be some merit in it? All this deadline crap is doong my head in. If things are meant to be they will be IMHO.

It seems pretty awkward forcing the guy to come for talks, let him piss his football career down the pan on the spurs bench if he wants, we should move on and spend the money on rodallega

Would still be a good signing, despite what some people say on here, and i'm sure (as TP keeps banging on about) we wouldn't be breaking the clubs wage structure. There was obviously some deal in place before and Spurs probably moved the goalposts. Stoke would not pay over the odds for an England International after all would they?
Whoever we end up signing they will all be welcome by me (even Jerome!) as it's all competition which we definitely need for a very threadbare squad.

I think Crouchy would certainly score a few goals for us, would just rather people come who want to come.

If we end up signing him on a 4 year deal, for close to 10 million, on 50k a week, I just don't see this as a good signing.

It's about "kudos " raising the clubs profile cracking if he signs. It will lead to bigger and better things.
