If we end up signing him on a 4 year deal, for close to 10 million, on 50k a week, I just don't see this as a good signing. Are you mad Roy, this is incredible, you should be out celebrating. Typical Stokies

Amazing this......we are possibly going to sign a proven ENGLAND striker, not just a Premier League striker and yet some people still say it is not good enough ??? Cheers, Adie

Rob Dorsett outside the Brit: "Peter Crouch's DAD is on his way to the Brit."
I can hardly type for laughin'
Will he be fighting with Bendtner's dad?!
It's father's day over here on Sunday, nice to know Stoke are getting in on the act!

Proven England international - European experience, Premiership experience. 1- Excellent signing 2- Great competition for Jones/Walters/Jerome 3- Great target for Rory ;D 4- Can only be good for the youngsters to learn from.
I hope this one goes through.

Mama did not cost 10 million + and probably £50,000 a week. Why are you bothered about how much he costs/earns? It's not your money is it? It's money that could be spent on other players. We could perhaps increase our wage limit if we did not spend all this money on Crouch.

He didn't jump at our initial offer because he was holding out for a better offer in wages, can you blame him? Like others have said, it will help to raise our profile.

It's money that could be spent on other players. We could perhaps increase our wage limit if we did not spend all this money on Crouch. Wage 'budget' will be different pot to the transfer budget - which according to Coates doesnt even exist - TP just asks as and when he wants someone. Crouch will be a waste of wages as well as writing 10 million + off completely. Money that Platini's mob will be interested in when it comes to competing in Europe in the future when the financial fairplay rules come into play. 2.5 million per annum out of the wages budget when we have supposedly missed out on players because of our wage structure. This will turno out like Carew but we will be stuck with him for 4 years not half a season.
