He held the ball up really well, played his role brilliantly. Bad close range miss, but all strikers miss sitters from time to time. Took his goal well. Walters on the other hand was poor, plenty of effort and running but the end product was not there for him, bad day at the office, nothing to worry about.

They say good strikers can do nothing for 90 minutes and then score you a crucial goal.
In that aspect he did well yesterday, he did frig all for 90 minutes (apart from throw his arms in the air 763 times and miss a sitter) and then got the equaliser.
Well done KJ.

Think is with kenweyne , he can jump and is great at nodding the balls down but every time he wins a challenge in the air and flicks the ball on there is nobody there to chase the ball down. I think that its frustrating alot of stoke fans that he seems to do nothing but he does play a big roll into our club, we just need somebody fast and willing to chase the ball down after kenweyne knocks it on. Big mamma doesnt score goals, but he plays a key role in the team within the balance.

I thought he did a lot before scoring WD. He won many headers and held up the ball when he could. He also occupied two players, which left Walters, Etherington and Pennant one on one with their markers. On another day, our fully fit and firing pair of wingers would have murdered them down the flanks.

KJ gets far to much stick from our fans :/ the thing is that even on a positive thread like this one, the praise is often given in a 'wasn't Walters crap?' styleee They both played ok, Walters couldn't convert and missed a penno, but was stretching their defence as much as anyone (eg winning the penno). They do need competition and a rest, but till then we should give them credit for slogging away, while other key players are getting the odd rest here and there. It was noticeable how fresh Whelan looked near the end of the game having been rotated out in midweek.

It was a great header because he had to generate the power as well a directing it. It was a little dink from Whelan - not a full-blooded cross.

KJ was KJ - missed a sitter but scored a lovely headed goal. Did some good things and bad things. It's why he plays for Stoke and not a top six side.
The mitigating factors for both our forwards is the general lack of support from midfield. They have tough jobs.

His "miss" was on a par with that by Aguero at Bolton and he cost £38m and does play for a top six side.

From a striking perspective KJ is one of (if not the best along with Tim Cahill) headers of the ball in the league.
He's a great player and shouldn't be getting any stick.
Especially not when we've got players of Mama's ability still at the club and no one better than him.

This is the same player that has been labelled as a 'Fucking useless lazy fucker' by some on this board after the last few matches. It's a good job it was 'Golden Boy' who missed the penalty and not Kenwyne, never mind that one on one against a non keeper in Europe otherwise there would be a fucking lynch squad out for him. Well done Kenwyne, you have been playing well with hardly any support son, keep it up. H Who called Walters the 'Golden Boy' you are quoting? Our joint top scorer last season you mean? Great effort I thought Wasn't at his best on Sunday I agree and see you mentioned the chance v Thun and not the goal v Split. Odd that I think you still miss your idol Dave Kitson, RAF ;D ........................or was it IDLE?

Fucking Hell , I thought you would be bumming a few ladyboys this time of day, not trotting out either your Kitson gags or your nonsense about me saying that England should be winning trophies. I wasn't quoting anyone, it is a fact at the moment that John Walters can do no wrong, but woe betide Kenwyne miss a sitter, he gets fucking slaughtered. Obviously I didn't mention the scuff off his head against spilt, because I thought he had a reasonable game. H
