Mostly my uncle - his funeral was last week. He lived in South Shields and supported Newcastle but he always followed Stoke from his arm chair because I supported them from childhood. He lived long enough to know that we finally reached a cup final and one of my last conversations with him was about the semi final and I wore my Wembley 2011 T shirt on my last visit to his bedside. . No ESPN in his hospital but - he had watched the ITV semi final highlights package from his hospital bed and couldn't believe it was Stoke he was watching! ;D
Let's do it for him and all the other loved ones who haven't made it to our big day.

My Grandad, I'm sure he'll be looking down at me
He's not dead he's just very condescending
But in all seriousness, my other Grandad who was a massive Stokie and he took my now Grandmother to an away match on a wet and coldy night for their first date!

Definitely for my late Dad.
He took me to my first ever game in 1965 when I was only 4, which was Sir Stan's testimonial, plus the semis in '71 & '72 and the 1972 League Cup Final.
On Saturday I'll stand alongside my 15 year old daughter (who he never saw) and belt out "Abide with me" and hope he's listening.
Dedicated to John Neil Hewitt 1936 - 94. God bless you Dad!!

My uncle Peter Wilkes. He was one of the gang along with his two sons my Dad and me that walked to the old ground from his home in Penkhull. Sadly he died soon after we changed stadiums and now it's just my Dad (his brother) and me who go. In that same year my Dad lost his brother, his hero (Sir Stan) and his best friend.

For my Hubby's Uncle.
He passed away in his sleep on his Birthday earlier this year aged 49. Ian was our sidekick, us, the boy and Ian every game. He lived in Manchester and travelled down for all the matches. It's not the same without him at all, and he'd have been elated to have seen us at Wembley.
So Ian, for all your daft songs and miss heard words (Ricardo Fuller 6ft 10 anyone?) this one is for you.

For my grandad, the biggest influence on my life. Lifelong Stokie, had a heart attack while chopping down a tree a few years ago. As the eulogy noted, 'died like a viking, with an axe in his hand.' God bless you. Goarrrrrrn Stoke

I just spent a bit of lunchtime reading some of your brilliant dedications. Hope you like this little poem I wrote as I thought of them. May 14 two thousand and eleven The gates are opened up in heaven God had deemed it fit and right That all passed Stokies would see this sight The legions came and joined their kin At the Stadium of football and its history within Their Sons and Daughters they felt them there With bumps on their arms and tingles in hair When the team ran out in their red and their white The roar was immense, lifting them up to fight The thousands in seats and more all around Carried the players on waves of their sound The players responded and played to their best. Gave no quarter and allowed no rest. So together the dead, the team and their kin Worked hard together and the FA Cup Stoke did win You my friend are a very good poet

For my aunt Linda! Taken 4 years ago aged 53 (way to soon). She had to put up with dad, brothers, nephews and then finally a son dedicated to the Potters.
I know she would laugh at our antics on match days!!!
Me, my brother and her son will be there singing this with all our hearts. I'm sure there will be tears.
Also for nans Vera & Daisy along with grandad Les.
On a brighter note, i will be getting behind the boys for my unborn child (due oct 28th). What a year it would be to be born in a year when we win the FA CUP!!!!
1st born child and an FA CUP in the same year? Could life get better???
COME ON STOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was sung at my dad's funeral way back in 1957 when I was just 9. Sitting watching the Cup Finals in later years it always brought a tear to my Mum's eye and I have always as a consequence had a lump in my throat when it has been sung, so God knows how I am going to go on tomorrow. I shall also remember My Uncles Jack , Les , Harry and Frank who took me to Stoke in 1956 to start a 55 year love affair which will tomorrow hopefully turn out to be their finest hour.

I'll be singing for my Nan, who thankfully will be standing right next to me belting it out too, she was there for both semi's in 71 and 72 against "Lucky Arsenal" and the League Cup final victory.
She bought both me and my old man up on stories of those days and I am so very proud that she will finally get to see us in the Final in her lifetime.
I never thought we would reach the levels of football that we are playing, but she NEVER lost faith, and she deserves tomorrow.
I hope to God that we can win it for her even more than me! I genuinely believe we'll get another crack at it in my lifetime. This could be her only chance.
I'll be crying my bloody eyes out when we start singing Abide With Me because I am lucky enough that I will have the memory of standing next to her, watching her dreams come true after all these years.
Please Stoke, Please... Do eet fer' Nancy!
