Before Momo says it, it is pretty disrespectful to storm off after being told You're not in the 16. But that was frustration, Pulis has had time to think about this. Again another difference heat of the moment vs no need at all.

I've seen Cresswell plenty of times and you're spot on, works very hard but offers little on the left. Other than Palace away I think he's looked pretty poor up front as well. On the limited evidence we've had this time around Gallagher has looked no better and the fact that the scoring records are very similar begs the question, what are you all crying about. I think you hit the nail there, "limited evidence", he's not been given a fair chance imo, you can't expect him to come into a team who's form has dipped so badly and play anywhere like his potential, on his day he could offer us what we lack, a bit of quality on the ball, a player who can pass and cross accurately and nic the odd goal here and there. Cresswell seems to get in the team no matter how badly he plays, this send a message out that he is un-droppable and will play no matter how bad he is, players need to know they''ll be dropped if they don't produce, Gallaher should have been given a go on Monday night to show what he can do and to show creswell there is a player who will take his place if he doesn't deliver.

Well said that man! Not even Gally but maybe Bothroyd on the wing. Someone who is not Cresswell. Now here's a thought how about wingers on both wings Tone? Nah doesn't sound right does it!

The records are very similar but one got the record playing for the most expensively assembled squad in Stoke's history, the other in a hastily assembled team going nowhere!

Yeah one apparently is playing for the most defensive neanderthal coach in history and one was apparently playing for Arsene Wenger's more attacking fatter brother

REALLY, Momo?....£5mill on transfer fees......half a mill for Ameobi.......Premiership-level wages...and LAST season a mill in agents' fees...so ....actually it's maybe closer to ten!
Bayern.....It's a pleasure....any time!

REALLY, Momo?.....5 mill on fees, half a mill for six weeks of Ameobi......Prem wages for, what, a dozen ex-Prem 'stars'....and last season's agents' fees were a mill so that will have tripled......OK....you're right.....I'm wrong....it's nearer to ten!!!!!!!!!!!

Judging by the amount of goals we're shipping i think the title "defensive' no longer applies, he's now just a neanderthal.

You've not counted any incoming fees at all though on that. It less than 5 in my view huddy. Still a phenomenal amount though.

If you go to your place of work, your manager says to you "We dont need you tonight" Would you not go home?
Personally i dont see whats wrong with him not staying on Monday, if he was not needed/wanted.

Jesus Christ ! All you anti Pulis idiots have jumped all over this one and used it in yet another lame attempt to critisise Pulis .
Gally has been a huge dissapointment . He's had a couple of chances and has looked too lightweight and off the pace . Preston fan's were also very unimpressed with him and he played alot for them .
Also is everyone forgetting the loanee rule ? Nash , Riggott , Pearson ,Ameobi and Bothroyd all look more useful than gally .

He hasn't had a real chance and has looked like that because he hasn't got any match fitness. Diao was the same but TP continued to play him. He has his favourites and they play, if You're not one of them You don't.

Ok then Bayern , he may not have had the chance and I must admit I was thinking he'd have played some games on the left side over Cresswell .
However the fact still remains that he's not better than Pearson , Ameobi , or Bothroyd and is not as important to the team as Nash or riggott . we can only name 5 loanees ( unless you're sheff wed ) so Gally has to miss out .
Pulis has every right to critisise him if Gally has spat his dummy out and stormed away from the ground in a huff . funny how Zakuani has stated he want's to stay at stoke even though he's in the same boat as Gally .

I agree with that (see above) except that Pulis shouldn't critcise him publically. That is out of order imo.

I can see your point but imo if a player has stormed away in a huff it undermines the manager and creates ill feeling in the camp which we really don't need . Gally has every right to be upset , he's come here to play and is now not getting that chance but he must have known he wasn't in the squad well before his spat ( everyone else did ) so i can't see how it's a spur of the moment thing .

Imagine though You're him You see Cresswell play wank week in, week out and You know You're not even being considered. Despite knowing this You will be hacked off. I can fully understand why he did storm off and I can fully understand why Pulis doesn't have him in the 16. What I can't understand is why bring him here if You aren't going to give him a fair chance, play Cresswell who has been toss and then enhance the bad feeling by publically slating him. That makes no sense to me.

Personally i dont see whats wrong with him not staying on Monday, if he was not needed/wanted. Except he was required to be in the Match Day Squad just not the final match squad. If he stormed out just after the team was announced and Cresswell's leg fell off and Ameobi locked himself in the toilet and Bothroyd developed agoraphobia and sat quivering under Pulis's desk, he might have got a game but not on the M bloody 6 he wouldn't!

I don't quite understand the public damnation of this player,it is most unusual for T.P. to vent such feelings when he is generally so respectful of the players he has.
Clearly things have been said and it looks as though the pressure is having its impact on the management.
Having said that ,if Gallagher had set the world alight at Preston I would feel a little more supportive.

I think it'll be significantly more than 5 million if you include the 1m+ we've splashed on Ameobi and Pearson for the final push. But the wage bill must be staggering at the moment. We've got a large number of players who are earning money that was pie-in-the-sky in the Icelandic era . Coyle claims the wage we offered Whelan was twice what they could afford to give him - and they aren't exactly divisional paupers! www.burnleyexpress.net/burnleyfc/Coyle-set-for-hectic-summer.3970531.jp

I've got no idea, but I can't really believe that, bayern But you'd think he'd be another in the 8-10k range? For a club with no parachute money, our spending has been very, very extravagant.

It was either 20k a week straight up or 10k a week basic with 10k win bonus! So 10k a week then! Something along those lines anyway.

Pulis should take a leaf out of a certain Carl Hoefkens on how to act with dignity. He was so obviously forced out of the club by a vindictive cunt yet acted like a true gentleman, refusing to say anything negative even though he so desperately wanted to give his version.
