Although I wouldn't wish the Vale success, fair play to their fans for sticking by them even though they are, undoubtedly, dogshit.
It'd be a lot easier for them to just support Man U/Chelsea/Arsenal like some of the little cuntrags from Stoke.

As much as I hate Vale, give me a local Vale supporter from the area than a local Man U, Liverpool, Leeds fan etc. This city is riddled with glory hunting twats and I hate them much, much more than the Vale supporters. Support your local team. Its a fucking given in life

They support their local team and resist the easy option of buying a Shit/Chelsea/Arse/Scouser's shirt & sitting on their arses watching Sky Sports like so many in N.Staffs

Maybe Mourinho might fancy it as well.

I just cant understand any Stoke fan feeling sorry for Vale, local club or not. Try flicking through a few threads on OVF and you'll see just how much they hate us. There's no rationality to it, it's just pure jealousy combined with a big inferiority complex and the result is not pretty.
Believe me, if we lost to Bolton at Wembley, got relegated or found ourselves in financial trouble again the unwashed would be throwing street parties in Burslem - so fuck em.

One Vale fan even posted that their whole season now rests on Bolton beating us in the Cup! I now think that with Gannon gone they will make the play offs and possible promotion. Its obvious that the Vale players disliked the bloke as much as their fans.

So their impending happiness rests on us getting knocked out of the FA Cup at the SEMI FINALS? What a fucking tool

I know what you mean, but we're above that sort of small time hatred aren't we? We don't have to sink to their level and if I'm going to be abused by an anonymous keyboard warrior on t'internet maybe its better that its a Vale fan from Stoke than an Arse fan from North Somerset.

It's not hatred I feel, I'm just having a damn good laugh at their expense and the longer it continues the better as far as I'm concerned. I have to be honest and say I wouldn't give a shit if they went bump either. I also dont go in for this 'turn the other cheek' bollocks. I remember just how spiteful Vale fans have been towards my club in the last few decades when we have had shit teams, relegations and we didn't have two pennies to scratch our arses with. Like I said, fuck em.

Of course they're going to be jealous, in the last few years look how much we've risen and how much shit they've had to put up with! Personally I'd like to see Vale come up a couple of levels, its good for Stoke-on-Trent to have two thriving teams.
As Meggsy says those at Accrington are proper fans, it'd be very easy to support one of the big teams or jack it in.

How can they afford to sack Gannon and then employ someone whose at a club? I'm guessing they can't.
So anyone on that list who is out of a job has to be the favourite imo. Someone like Danny Wilson would be ideal. Decent manager and free in terms of compensation packages. It is ashame Gannon has gone though.
Hughton? ;D What a piss take, he could probably walk into any job in the lower half of the Premier League and Championship.

They arent completely broke, suppose it depends on the noises Chaudry is making. Like keep someone from within the club for the time being and wait to see what his next move is. The players respect Horse so im suprised he hasnt got it. I cant see Houghton taking it but stranger things have happened, he's no more qualified than Adams was and if you look it Vale are a team with shitloads of potential, takes over gets them up and does well in L1 and his stock has risen massively again. Like I say I do think its a bit far fetched though

Not sure why anyone on here is enjoying the disaster that's happening at Vale Park at the moment. Their core supporters deserve far better than what they are currently getting and the majority of fans I know are good decent people. Every club has it's idiots, ours included and every club could be in the mess they are given a change of circumstance, including ours.
Give 'em a break, FFS.

They got compo for Micky Adams but that seems to have gone missing. ;D The board are broke, the board won't listen to Chaudry, where will the money come from? It's madness that they're clinging on. Totally different though, Adams had been out in the wilderness after being sacked from a League One (at the time?) club. Hughton is one of the best young managers that most clubs would be over the moon to have as manager. Massive difference.

They're in shit financially but there are worse sides out there, lets face it I'm not so sure as the retards in charge would risk their own wealth to cling on when several investors have been turned away. They have one of the best squads in the league and, entering the run-in, they are still well placed despite dangerous Jim's best efforts for a shot at automatic promotion. Common sense says a half decent manager (which as the favourite Coleman is) should have more than enough at his disposal to take them up. 95% Houghton wouldnt look twice at the Vale but hes been unemployed for a good few months now and this is a job that'd give him chance to add another promotion to his name. I cant see it but stranger things have happened.

It's a win/win for amused Stoke fans.
Either Glenda and co hang on and give us more of the same or egomaniac MC comes in and things could go totally nuts - even by present standards.

They are thick as fuck, I think when they took over it was with good intentions but a couple of bad eggs like Jackson and co. have corrupted it and now there is absolutley no leadership. For what its worth I reckon Mo will get the club eventually but the more the current board fuck things up the more its value will drop.
3/1 now to go up represents good value, especially if they prize Coleman from Accrington

Would it appeal to the likes of Kevin Blackwell or Geroge Burley?
Had a look through the odds and i'm mildly suprised that Paul Jewell isnt linked even as a long shot
