One of the most prominent memories from my childhood is a congregation of Stoke fans chanting "Mills Out" at the Boothen Stand's main entrance, immediately after we'd lost to Leyton Orient in the cup. This was only two years after Mills had overseen one of the most thrilling periods in our modern history, where we went goal crazy, and looked like a team really on the up. Sadly Mills never built on the momentum that period generated and when he ran out of ideas, the support knew it was time for him to go way before the chairman did. With promotion and our first season back in the top-flight, Pulis has a lot more credit in the bank than Mills or any other manager in the last twenty five years...by rights he should be afforded one hell of a sticky patch before anyone even thinks about uttering the words "Pulis Out". However, the mood of the crowd does seem to be turning. The message board perhaps isn't the best indication of the general mood, as it does tend to attract the more vociferous and extreme opinions amongst the support, but how long will it be before the odd "Pulis Out" that you see as a thread title, becomes the odd "Pulis Out" bellowed at the match? Which in turn snowballs into an angry mob gathered outside the main entrance, banging on the glass and frightening 9-year-old kids? Personally I think Pulis should only get the sack if he relegates us (and yes, he will be the man who's responsible), but I reckon the first widespread "Pulis Out" calls may be heard as soon as Newcastle at home, on the assumption we lose that game. An FA cup win over West Ham might buy him a bit more goodwill, but exiting the cup AND losing to the Magpies could see "Pulis Out" written on a wall by the D-Road, and inexplicably kept on there for the next twenty years. As is the nature of the beast, win the next two games and we'll be building statues of him outside the Brit. ;D

I have similar memories, guess we must be a similar age. It can't be that far away. I remember loud 'Pulis Out' chanting during a home defeat to Burnley(?) a few years ago, and a similar result next Sunday could well see the same.

He simply has to change it back to the basics and what has made us a top half team.
Which means Wilko and Higgy back in as full-backs.
Pennant AND Etherington on each wing for the FULL 90mins .
Whitehead and Delap in the middle.
Fuller starting with Carew or Jones-only (if he wants it bad enough)
Failing to this for our next few games he deserves any 'cat calling' from the terraces because its NOT WORKING and it will take us down.
Who wants this- A,rimmer fan? NO B,Pulis hater? NO
STOKE CITY FANS in general? NO
So act now TP and get back to what this squad knows what works but give them orders to play with freedom, positiveness, and commitment.

On another note what were our results against Burnley home and away in our promotion season? My minds gone completely blank.

They could be as close as the next league home game (Newcastle) but that will depend on the manner in which we lose that game and the cup game.

Dont kno why i've always liked the bloke. He does at least try to pass it i suppose.

No chance mate sorry,we need to stop shipping goals and Higgy is a better defender as is Wilko over Wilson because Collins is another liability and we always either concede or come very close to because of DC's wankness as a defender foremost.

It's simple now. We are one of the serious relegation candidates. 6 straight away defeats. We are going to have to hope and pray that we get something at Villa and Blackpool. So we are going to have to rely on hoping we can get over the line with what we have left at home. We have to stay up. Tone said there will be big changes in the summer. If we are still a Prem club that is. I think the blokes head has gone for some reason but he knows better than me!

Our current form is still better than some of the clubs below us and there is a 4 point gap for them to make up. This can still be the greatest season in our history and TP will be forever and a day venerated by generations of Stoke fans.

Wish i felt the same way march. I'm just glad we already have the points in the bag. If we were at the bottom with 27 with our current form i would be writing us off now. We should be OK but it's going to be close. At the start of the week we should have been expecting maybe 4 points and we have 1.
Remedy for me is simple. Play your best team Tone, Wilko and Higgy back, Ethers and JP on the flanks and whoever you fancy up front. Easy!

Indeed it could March but equally (at least) it could turn into a complete calamity, it's on a absolute knife edge at the moment ... wins in the next two games and it'll be all smiles, two losses and we'll be staring down the barrel of a gun, unfortunately.

I hope not. Thats the last thing we need if we are in a relegation battle I agree. However people shouldn't not kid themselves, that a huge number of the supporter base only 'tolerate' TP whilst his tactics are being effective, once Pulisball become ineffective, then he has very little in the bank to fall back on, by way of support.

Eastham out after blythe ,Barker out after the new coaching revoluton[long ball] Asprey out after he was alledgedley knocking one of the secetaries off, Mills out well that was a regular chant ,Ball out that was brewing before we lost to wigan ,Little out after the great start and then he went onto extra ciriculum activities ,again knocking someone off instead of concentrating on the team allegdedly, Chick out after the brum debacle, Kamara out after the big hype ,just trying to think of all the protests ive been involved with ,sack the board on more occasions than i can remember ,probally missed a few out ,when i look back ive been on loads as many others like myself have, true passionate supporters . At this stage i think we oughta hold back on the pulis out revolution let the season end and see where we are.I personally despise the dross thats served up ,despise being called a rugby team ,despise the tactical ineptness but in all honesty do not think it will help our cause if there are big chants for his removal ,RED AND WHITE sometimes shyte but in it till i die.

Please, no booing or Pulis out chants during the game, no matter how we play.
Seen it before and it never does any good so save it for after the final whistle.

I can just see it. Pulis out chants abound, he gets sacked down the line, 20 years later we think what the fuck were we doing. And people like WFW change their name to WaitingforPulis ;D
I don't think people really appreciate his skills as a manager or his commitment.
