Anyone worried we could be in a relegation scrap in a months time? with the next 6 fixtures looking like this -
Arsenal A WBA H West Ham A Newcastle H Chelsea H Spurs A.

Not worried yet, two more wins should secure our place for next season and that should be achievable if we keep our heads down and work arrd.

A win against west brom and one at west ham hopefully would pretty much guarantee us premier league status, so hopefully we can pull of wins there, both have the worst defensive record in the prem.

I'm not worried about relegation at all, I'm more worried about the fact I have nearly been in a coma with boredom and utter frustration at our last 3 away games.

Nah - we are just making it harder than it should be for ourselves with really crap away tactics as the baseball cap disappears back in to his shell
Taking pennant off for Whelan - for pitys sake

Think we have enough opportunities to get the points we need and see a few others struggling. We would have to have an awful series of results and others would have to brilliantly to spoil that view.

Nope, my only worry is the continuing disquiet and disconnect between the fans and the management

Yes- it's not exactally unrealistic is it?
I don't honestly believe we will go down, but we're in and around the scrap- which means we should always watch our back.

At the moment we're averaging more than a point a game, so even if that dropped to exactly one point a game from now on, we'd end on 45 and be ok.

Yes, only a fool wouldn't be worried while we are only 6 points above the drop with 12 games to go.
The truth of the matter is that we're not much better than the dingles in 20th or much worse than Slumberland in 7th, so IMO it's any 3 from 13 for the drop.
It's so easy to say " only another 3 wins and we'll be safe" but it's getting those wins that concerns me particularly after that clueless, sterile, god awful, performance last Saturday.

if we cant win 3 games between now and may we will deserve relegation. no I cant see that it will be us relegated . IM not worried. I know we will win Arse nal at home. The chelsea game will be at least a draw, as it the nearest match to my birthday. I still think wigan wolves and west brom will relegate. with Blackpool and shambles in 16th and 17th place.

Just did a rough calculation based on current points, games remaining v top 6 and games remaining v the rest... i gave all remaining games vs non top 6 teams 1.5pts to be added to each teams current score.
Bottom 3 ended up as: 18th = West Brom (39/40) 19th = Wigan (37/38) 20th = West Ham (34) Wolves would finish 17th on 40/41 points
Wolves may be bottom now but they only 1 game remaining against a top 6 side (Spurs) and 11 winnable games. West Ham on the other hand still have 5 games vs top 6 sides remaining.

Predictions
Arsenal A - 0 WBA H - 3 West Ham A - 1 Newcastle H - 3 Chelsea H - 0 Spurs A. - 0
Even with three losses and a draw, we'd reach 40

I think that'll we'll get less points than last season and finish between 12th and 14th place.
So not relegated but no better than the previous two years.

We are 25/1 for a reason, I suppose.
But a defeat against the Baggies would bring on some jitters.
It would take some freak, freak results (even by this season's standards). I've just made a half-arsed quick effort on that BBC predictor thing - and even giving us nightmare results, we haven't dropped into the bottom 3.
Just noticed West Ham's remaining fixtures - a reasonable last 3 games, but nightmarish before then

Just out of interest, where were Reading at this time of year in the season they went down?
They're the last team I remember who were coasting and then just absolutely tanked.

6 points from those games should be nearly enough to see us safe especially with Wolves and Wigan still to play. WBA is a massive match and one that we really need to get behind the players for. It's a shame we havent got the likes of a Boltor or Sunderland to play at the end of the season as currently I'd say they're the only 2 teams with nothing to play for. I see us ending up on around 42/43 points at the end of the season with the relegated teams going down on 36-38 points. A perfect scenario would be playing Wigan with us safe and them having to beat us / draw to send West Ham down. That would be a season for Carlsburg season end.

No an never will be as long as our manager keeps on giving the opposistion far too much respect, we'll continue to scrape it each season with dire football.
How exciting.
