Stoke city will have spent all of yesterday bartering for players, the price of players, has gone out of control. Unless you are willing to pay sky high prices then teams living within a budget should be better organised.I think stoke city were expecting yesterday to be bargin bucket day and it was the opposite.I do think the plan was to address weaknesses yesterday and add a bit more quality to the team, but bartering and players not wanting to join us and prices caused stoke city an issue.

Hope your right, he'd be a great player for us. That said, we have Pennant in that position and we should be targeting full back and CM as a priority along with a 10-15 goal a season striker. Maybe TP has had his damascus moment, like Holloway, and is going all out attack with SWP at RB </td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table>

Well the transfer window is done and dusted thank god! Just like to say a few points on our current squad and position. First of all the departure of Tuncay is a massive loss to our squad, i'm extremely unhappy with how he's bin treated by Pulis since August 2009. He was never given a chance in our team, he was mainly a substitute during his time here and then we had the bizarre time when he couldn't even get on the bench ( shakes head ) . It's obvious no matter how good you are if you dare stand up to Pulis then he'll get rid at the first opportunity ( Kitson, Beattie, Lawrence, Tuncay and Eidur ) . The treatment of Eidur was actually worse but we never got to see the real prospect because he was never given a chance. I think this " myth" that were evolving as a team is rubbish, just look at our away performances this season, the games lately have bin awful hoofball viewing. My point is i think were better than this and if we are to "progress" then hoofball is not the answer ( Just look at how teams can easily deal with Delap's throws now for instance) . I think Carew is a good signing because he has a decent scoring record. However ill be reduced to tears if we see a strike force of Jones/ Carew or Mama/Jones etc. The only creative striker we have left is Fuller and he must start. Pulis will keep us up this season but i'm not very confident in the near future to be honest!

At the end of the day it's Carew in and Tunny out. Eidur never played and can be ignored. Now can Dicko be recalled or Shotton told to play on the left .... if not I'd rather Danny Pugh than Danny Collins, who is an international class centre half (if your Welsh).
