I'm just playing devils advocate here gents and god forbid what has happened to the Toon and Blackburn's managers should happen to TP but is anyone thinking about a change of football style @ Stoke? This would obviously mean a change of manager as TP's style of play has been proven time and again...'never relegated'...
So I put it to you, the great and the good of the legendary Oatcake MB, would you welcome a new manager who adopts a different style of football (see Blackpool - no money, no hope but one of the most entertaining teams in the Top Flight) or are we all 'happy to be in the premier league'?

You might just get it.

Pulis may never have been relegated but he certainly needs to open his eyes to different tactics.

I don't mind us playing the way we do, but if it's not working, we should have an alternative rather than lumping it to KJ. There are times when he will be up against 6ft 6 defenders who are going to dominate him. If it's not working, take him off and try passing it into feet. Just an idea.

We don't need a new manager but we do need a new brand of football commonly known in footballing circles as a Plan B.

4-4-1-1 or relegation.
Take your pick - there is no alternative with TP.

Boxing day was a game we could have lost and didn't. Today's was a game we could have won and didn't.
Elation followed by frustration... as a Stoke fan I'm used to it.
We're still above Liverpool, Everton, Villa, Newcastle etc
Pardon me if I don't start slashing my wrists just yet.
Hopefully TP will see that the team he puts out for a stiff'ish away test isn't necessarily the one he should start with for a home 'banker' though.

Fans can get very greedy and forget how much their manager has done, just look at Charlton as an example. TP has done, and continues to do, a fabulous job. We lost one game today but judging by some of the embarrassing views on here you would think we were dead last in the league and 10 from our nearest team.

"lou lou skip to ma lou" will take us to the next level You mean hoofing the ball forwards at every opportunity - that was Lou's plan and like TP's it was mightily effective.

Oh yes I remember that we had those man mountains of Mark Stein and Graham Shaw up front, then we moved on to the twin peaks of Mike Sheron and Simon Sturridge. March you don't half talk rot at times.

Yes I think we just need a 'plan b' for the occasions when our direct approach doesn't work...

Why dont we just get rid of Peter Coates and get some Indian chicken farmers to buy the club?

he has been a great servant to stoke but its time now to lose rory, his throws are generally dealt with now by all, we need a midfield playmaker desperately to take us to the next level

If TP left for some reason I'd like Gus Poyet from Brighton. His team plays good football.

I would if it could be 100% guaranteed that we could do so and still be doing as well as we are now. Since it can't, it seems a pretty retarded risk to take when the team is just three points off sixth place.

Be interesting to see what Lou could have acheived had his chairman been Peter Coates Mark 2 rather than Mark 1.
Lou's sides were direct, but compared to Pulisball, they looked like Brazil.

This is a new brand of football.
Depending on what happens in the transfer window it could be different again fir the rest of this season. Next season it will change once more. It's always time for a new brand of football. Tony Pulis is more of an agent of continual change than you give him credit for.
