Watched the championship this morning and after all the hysteria has subsided, I thought Id suggest we''l be alright for promotion.
We've had a stutter, a dip in from, along with the others BUT there was enough there on the edited highlights to suggest we've plenty left in the tank now, especially with the new signings.
Pearson looks a simply superb acquisition for the run in and Fuller and Ameobi up front - well, you can only start salivating at the very thought of that combination - they should create havoc at this level surely ????.
We could have, should have won but, we didn't - but then again, we didnt lose either and, listening to Norwich fans last night on 606 and, watching Bristol city - they are riding their luck now and are soon to be found out.
And it'll be stoke city that find em out in my humble opinion !
Watford and Charlton have blown up big style and it now looks like two from four .
Biggest threats now West brom and Hull if truth be told but surely stoke should fear neither of those passing us by.
We haven't been able to 'buy' a win for sometime but a truer first eleven will be out next Monday, very eager and very hungry.
Nash - Shawcross Riggot, Wilkinson, Pugh , Delap, Whelan, Pearson, Lawrence , Fuller and Ameobi
just look at the names - with cover too -we ARE good enough - just let nature take its course !!!!!!!!!!
Griffin benched - he looked awful - even on the edited highlights -never mind the radio

If anything evans should of been sent off their throw they scored from was ours so who was the luck with? 2) We took our chance when it came, performances don't matter results do and we are top because of our results. 3) Our players are confident, we are where we are due to results we have picked up, so we have not been lucky all season at all. When will fans actually admit that we have a good chance as any other to go up with out writing us off since day 1? Remind me of something, when was the last time we were out the top 6 in the league? Nuff said.

Interestingly enough I foresee dramatic change if we do make it to the promised land
automatic promotion would give Pulis time toset us up for a decent go at it.
I can see 10 -12 players leaving and, at least half a dozen cherry picked from the championship coming in to strengthen us.
once we get there we wills tay awhile (IMHO)

Plenty of people saying your riding your luck now bristol
youve punched above your weight almost an entire season
I firmly beleive our dip in form will end very soon you will 'get yours' shortly
at the Brittannnia !
Ameobi and Fuller running at you at our place

Bollocks we haven't rid our luck at all, we taken our chances when we had them, is that good luck or just good chance taking? Results matter not Performances, also we have had our little "dip in form" in the last 6 games we won once, mainly due to the wind which we ain't use to play football in and we coudn't pass it like we normally do

Feck me that's right up there with Victor Pardew's "we'll be better when the pitches improve" bullshit. We all like to make excuses but that is one of the best I've heard for a while. If, as has been suggested you (ahem) "play football properly" which I assume means keeping the ball on the deck how the fook would the wind affect your style. Unless you're just a team of hoofers like we are?? ;D

See you at the Brit (3-0) Agree about the goal diff it is a shame, but i honestly can't see a bad defeat coming, i think we could win all of the games we have left although that is a big ask, im delighted with the season. And ukyestony, be as confident as you like.

Stoke have ridden their luck all season Tony. And, from what I've seen of Bristol this season, they really are an excellent side (assembled for next to nowt too) How Coates must envy that!

I think it's pretty clear that Bristol or us are destined to be in the top flight next year.
Who will it be?
That will depend on the next 5 games.

Completely disagree Kinnel - we were solid and unspectacular first half of the season and if anything more recently, e.g. preston - perhaps even yesterday we've done everything bar, win the game
plus we never seen to get penalties (well hardly ever)
with a bit of luck (which we've not had) we'd be 9 points clear (IMHO)
I think

We've had massive luck with late goals, our opponents hitting the woodwork (see yesterday) and especially from scraping undeserved draws time after time from woeful home performances. You know that as well as I do. I suggest you're in deep denial, matey.

Late goals ARE NOT LUCK! Just sheer desire from our team, and sheer lapses in concentration from the opposition. As for hitting the woodwork- poor finishing from the opposition. We have one definite penalty turned down every game . That's what pees me off ;D

why is that ?

Very impressive - very impressive indeed - but we're hardly expensive either and - we are the better team - it will be proven shortly - very shortly see you at the BRITT I think this 'going up on a shoestring' thing is becoming a thing of the past in our case. Our outlay on fees and wages is starting to become, by our standards, phenomenal. Our current wage bill will absolutely dwarf Bristol's. Okay, their goal difference is crap - but to be where they are at this stage is an amazing achievement by Johnson.

Full credit to Bristol for the season they have had but to suggest we have been lucky is nonsense and smacks of the sour grapes that those who would prefer us to be under foreign management have.
As Gary Player once said 'you know it's funny, the harder I work, the luckier I seem to become' And our lads work very hard.

But one thing is G.Johnson will motivate the players for this game as it could be the decider. G.johnson also has gone back to the "troops" as he calls them that got us up in the running for last season, good idea as their experience could be vital for us, woudn't surprise me to see the same team line up next game.
