Its too fucking late to say Brizzle are riding their luck. They are where they are on merit after 41 games.
Its time we started sticking the ball in the fucking net regularly then it doesnt matter what any other fucker does.
If we blow this then its our own bloody stupid fa ult for pissing around against the likes of Preston, Sheff and bloody Blackpool instead of going for the throat.
Hull fucked Watford right off yrsterday clinically and its about time we started to do that in 1 or 2 games

Yep full credit to Bristol- but all this self doubt and 'all too easy sniping' at Pulis EVERY SINGLE TIME we hiccup is quite frankly, getting on my tits !
for years - last season especially, people moaned and groaned that we didnt commit to the final push
NOW WE HAVE DONE - This year Peter Coates and Tony Pulis definitely have - meanwhile the 'so called' fans on this board STILL sit on here, wringing their hands, riddled in self doubt.
frankly, its pathetic
WE ARE GOOD ENOUGH - look at the team
and we are going up - no mistake -THIS IS OUR TIME
stop pissing about and get on the fucking bus will some of ya !!!!

The thing is, the last time we were in this league we ended up spending big big dosh on players, and we have only just recovered from these mistakes, the reign under GJ has been nothing short of miracle working, considering we were bottom of league 1 when he took over, we now in his 2nd full season as manager of BCFC gone top of the league and been in top 6 week after week since the 1st weekend of action. IF and i do mean IF we go up we have big spending power with steve lansdown, but i don't think GJ will spend big amounts as he knows exactley what is needed.

Foreign management, Ian? Are you still hiding under the bed quaking at the prospect of those dirty foreigners invading our shores once again?
As for you, Tony, I'm just trying to encourage you to abandon the one-eyed blinkered stance that appears to afflict so many on here. We HAVE NOT been unlucky this season: quite the contrary as I say. See the non-penalty against Burnley amongst many other incidents and many many points undeservedly gained at home. As for late goals, how many on here were screaming 'lucky Albion' and 'lucky Bristol'yesterday? You can't have it both ways, fellas.
And you're being less than truthful with yourself when you say the team has been put together for 'not much money'. Apart from the five mill or so spent on transfer fees, there's probably a couple of mill agents' fees, BIG salaries for the ex-Prem guys and a reputed half a mill for six weeks' work from Amoeba. That is far far more than Bristol have spent and represents the biggest investment in the team we've EVER made.
Now, if I can come out and say what a fantastic job Tone has done this season and that we really should erect a statue to the man (right next to my brick if need be!) baseball cap and all if he gets us up, surely asking for a little bit of balance from you, in place of this rabid one-eyed jingoism, wouldn't be too much to ask? Would it?

Whatever or however BCFC are where they are the fact remains they are the albeit "unexpected" leaders with 5 games to go and likely contenders for Premiership promotion. No excuses - we'd gladly swap places with them right now and - on 79 minutes yesterday - we would have done.

Does anyone else feel that the more tony talks the less confident you feel ??? Brizzle guy who spent all your money last time you were in this league? John ward was the manager of us when we last went up into this league but ended up quitting because of the boards decision to bring in someone to help him which he didn't like this guy being Benny Lennartsson. But now new chairman, new manager its all looking good for the future

There have been people all season tipping Bristol to fall away.
They won't.
Johnson is a top manager and motivator.

And I just think sometimes you have to believe - if your a doubter, you undermine your collleagues and you fail
AND if I was Tony Pulis, thats exactly what Id be telling the players - Id also be talking down the opposition and, attempting to breed confidence - (err isn't that what I'm trying to do here ?)
Stoke have the best squad they've had for twenty years or so -we've wheeled and dealed to put a side together with minimal NETT outlay. (don't forget, we sold nearly £6million quids worth of assets last summer )
We have a now very decent following and 5 games (3 at home) to achieve one of two automatic spots with a 'plan B' of the playoffs - why should ANY BODY tell me not to be bullish ?

I love quotes. That would suggest we haven't worked very hard in the last 7 games. I wonder who's fault that was?

Nothing lucky about Bristol, and us neither. But to use Ians point the harder you try the luckier you get.
WBA had 18 shots on goal yesterday. To hammer someone you need to create chances and dominate games.
Preston away they had three chances and won 2-0, apart from that we've got what we've deserved all season. When we were winning we deserved it. Over the last 8 games we've got what we've deserved and that includes yesterday.
This is the best Stoke squad we've had in 25 years. It now needs unleashing. The manager needs to show the same ambition as the chairman and have "a good go"
TP has the opportunity to become the Messiah. We lost out last year because we defended 1-0 leads. This team shouldn't need to defend 1-0's.

Have some Karma (y) Well losing 6-0 to Ipswich, losing 3-0 to Barnsley, losing 4-1 to WBA should give him a clue who'll buckle. BTW we got points from all of them games. We will be expecting you. ;D

One thing is for sure, if Bristol dont do it this year, they will fall by the wayside next season. Teams will no longer be taken by surprise by them.

Ive just come onto this board again and posted to get this to the top -I cant believe the negative dirge posted all over this board today
as I said earlier
with friends like some of you - who needs enemies ?
AND - If I were Pulis and, we achieve promotion this season, I would sincerely believe our crowd would fully deserve a single fingered salute from the man.
for, Never would a manager have been more successful in front of some thousands of vindictive, negative failure craving, backstabbing gits !
and, if he did - I wouldnt blame him for a second !
because, he'll do it, despite some of you lot, not because of you
sad !

And, why all this obsession with Bristol bloody City all of a sudden ? one chance remark in a earlier part of the thread ?
NO
Another manager doing as well as Pulis - but for less --oh JOY !!! a chance to have yet another dig at our very own manager !
Pulis the man, doesn't spend = he gets slagged off
Pulis does spend = he gets slagged off
IF He gets promoted - Bristol city might have done it for cheaper
= he gets slagged off
HE CANT FUCKING WIN WITH SOME OF YOU PEOPLE and its beyond stupid - its beyond reason and, its sickening !
and some of you remain so blind, you cant even see it
When I see unfairness, obstinacy and sometimes RANK STUPIDITY, I React - just like I am doing here.
Somebody's got to stand up for Pulis under this tirade of lies, bullshit and Bollocks we are subjected to on here and on the radio every time we flinch.
(e.g. Steve From Uttoxeter for example) - pathetic - utterly utterly pathetic
It went quiet a ways back because any shred of credibility to the anti Pulis arguments dissolved - now theres an element of doubt - all the sad useless toss pots return in their fucking droves like flies round shit.
