And then turnover would be more proportional to gate receipts instead of tv revenue and the fans would matter. 3 o clock kicks offs, standing sections, competitive competitions (you'd think this would be a given ffs). It's worth the risk. There's not much left to lose. Well I could certainly live with it but I'm sure when I've campained for Mr Pulis to stop being so negative and play some football and to hell with the consequences you've basically told me I'm being a tit and we need to stay in the Prem at all costs etc etc I don't get you. I don't think these are mutually exclusive opinions alster(not including you being a tit, which I'm sure I've never said). My love for Stoke City and my loathing of the modern game have a complicated relationship which I find hard to understand. I dislike the game and find very little beauty in it anywhere but I am completely sold on the plan to establish at any cost as the best way of achieving the competitive goals of a cup final or a European campaign in the second competition, which I guess is the best we can hope for in terms of footballing success. Coates and Pulis have crafted an opportunity to make Stoke as big as they can in the obscene world of premier league football and I want to see what they can achieve. I certainly don't think Pulis deserves some of the vitriol he gets because I'm enjoying the process and I trust them with the club, which is an unprecedented situation in my lifetime. I like to think I know when to fight and when to relax and enjoy life and I am so over football I couldn't give a fuck what the football looks like as long as Stoke progress. Which they are. If the showbiz clubs left and took a lot of the tv fans and money with them I hope I may be able to love the game they leave behind. Tragic innit.

The F.A Cup is the most famous cup competition in the world yet some of you miserable fuckers appear to favour not bothering starting at the 'bottom' because, let's face it, the likes of Leek Town, Kidsgrove etc are never going to win.
Certain posters on this board moaned their arses off on a weekly basis about the shitty Premier League and the shit that comes with it. That was because WE weren't in the Premier League at the time but Mr Pulis, love him or hate him, and your reaction to being in the Prem, has made you look like a right bunch of cunts.
Now it's the turn of the Champions League to get the mardarse bitter treatment - shit this, toss that, boring, elitist, moan moan moan. It's because WE aren't in the Champions League. We're glad we've got a multi-millionaire chairman so we can take this piss out of the Vale but what a hypocritical bunch of fucks we are when it comes to appreciating life in the levels above us. I'd love us finish in the top 4 but be told that the CL is going to be limited to the champions only - they'd hear the whining on Mars.
Valencia v Man U was poor but nothing compared to the utter drivel we dished out in Sunday's first half.
Comical.

I don't agree with the format, but it's still a great competition. I always look forward to Champions League week, and when it gets to the knockout stages some of the games can be breathtaking.
