You are right troj - this should have happened last season.
BUT - I expect that Pulis believed that Parkin and Pericard would come good, and felt that other areas of the team needed strengthening.
We have needed another goal-scorer for ages, but when you are committed to playing Mama in every match that he is fit for it limits where you can put one. For all of his bad points though, Pulis does want to win, and is obsessive about "quality" players, so I reckon that if one had become available he'd have done the deal.
I think we will see something today.

I really hope you're right Magic - failing that I'm going to ring the FA and postpone the rest of the season!

Kamara got a run-out, and played the full 90 for Fulham reserves last night. Doesn't sound too promising. farpost | Posts: 83 Stoke are whistling in the wind. Fulham would be mad to loan a striker with 7 games remaining and the threat of relegation.
I am afraid it is 'all hands to the pumps at Fulham and Kamara could be required at Derby.' It was interesting to note he had a run out for the reserves whereas Healy, Nevland, Bouazza did not not. Read into that what you want. It was either to sharpen him up or he is genuinely not being considered for the first team anytime soon.
My money is on the 'former.' If he looked hungry he could even make the team or substitute against Derby. Johnson could well be rested or made substitute both are quick and lack goals. Johnson more so than Kamara in the premiership.
filham location: sunbury-on-thames | Posts: 1061 While Kamara was so dissapointing as an outright striker in the first half of the season he may have a role to play as a sub in a wide position to run at tired defenders.
Kamara and Johnson are the only players we have with pace that may just worry defenders, so no way can we let either of them go to other clubs before the end of the season. www.fulhamfc.com/Club/Messageboard.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=40207

all clubs are playing the transfer deadline game
anything could happen, its important though that SOMETHING does happen
Hulse would make sense if Mama is out
bound to be more rumours tommorow.

Would love to see Kamara sign. He is a player with proven Championship credentials and when Riccy comes back, he can fill that problematic left sided role. Hulse would be decent enough, but with a fully fit Mama and a returning Riccy, could you see Tone dropping either of them to compliment Hulse?

Maybe so, lord...
But what's in it for a Prem team like Fulham to be playing games at this stage?
It's not as if they're in the market for potential replacements for players they let out themselves.
Hodgson knows how many strikers he's got for the run-in, and which players he can see playing a worthwhile part until May.
Surely he's s not going to go to bed tonight saying ' No, you can't have him' then change his mind tomorrow morning? He's either expendable or he's not.
Of course, it could be the players themselves who need convincing.
But surely the same applies - if they're clearly not interested and showing no real likelihood of changing their mind, what can we do but move on? What can change in 24 hours if their manager has told Player A he can go, he should have a fair idea of where he stands, and it's not going to be any clearer to him tomorrow.
I can't see Hulse as even a slight chance. He's actually starting games now for Sheff U and they've still got a chance of going up.

Mama's injured again isnt he? Yeah I meant when he returns. Tone see's Mama as an integral part of his set-up as we all know. Cannot see him dumping him for a new face. All depends on Kamara as to how much Hodgson rates him. Like people say, Fulham are fighting for their Premiership lives so he needs everyone to help them clear relegation. However, he hasn't used Kamara at all, so heres to hoping that perhaps Hodgson doesn't rate him too highly and lets us take him.

Could some sides be waiting to see if players come back injured from tonight's badly timed international friendlies before letting others go out?

As someone said earlier, if Kamara is playing for the reserves at Fulham then they must be considering what has to offer to them. Perhaps they are trying to up his fitness so that he can be an impact sub, of sorts, as I doubt he would be value as a 90 minutes player at the moment.
Perhaps, though, he's getting some fitness before coming to Stoke (or is that wishful thinking?) by being in the Fulham reserves.
Perhaps we should consider Healy if the Kamara deal looks unlikely, we know he can score too...
