My mate is a Citeh fan and reckons that they would be laughing if we paid anywhere near that sort of money for RSC
He does rate Caceido, but in reality he has shown little to suggest that he is the answer to our goalscoring problems, and I can"t see TP taking "a chance" on someone without a proven record if we are thinking of splashing out around 9-10 mill
Strikers do for some reason have "one-off" seasons when their goal ratio rises from anything they have previously shown before, as COULD well happen with the likes of C Cole and Zamora
Personally, Robbie Keane is a good shout. Whether he could be tempted away from WHL again to play regular football is another matter, as are his wages, but you would get commitment and quality, and certainly in the region of 10-15 goals a season. The signing of a "household name" would also attract other players imo, but finding the right player at the right price in this day and age is far easier said than done.
Who"d be a manager? Me ! For £1.5M a year and when you fuck it up they pay out your contract... its piece of piss. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/0m0lbCuTEBzaRn6f8QaM.gif)

Good player but maybe...just maybe would prefer someone else because of injuries, age and form.

I agree about Keane in a Stoke side. Where on earth would he fit in? Past his best I think but has been a good player. He could do well at Villa possibly.

RSC is Injury Prone, I don't disagree, but throughout last season. how many games did he miss due to Injury, and how many did he miss through being behind Tevez. Adebayor, Bellamy etc etc? Maybe he was available for many more games than he actually played??

rsc could be a quality signing if he could stay fully fit for 90% of the season. The 9 million there talking about though is obsurd, with his wages aswell would be a huge risk financially, but a rsc on form is one of the best target men in the league as shown with his season at blackburn.
