I would go for...
Green johnson Terry Carra Cole Barry Lampard Gerrard
Lennon J Cole
Rooney
Surly would work a ruddy treat that system.

I can't see the sense in dropping Gerrard after his performance on Saturday. He wasn't brilliant but he was better than Lampard.
Heskey played well but yet again he didn't take his chance when it came to him.
Hart
Johnson Dawson Terry Ash Cole
Lennon Barry Lampard Joe Cole
Gerrard Rooney

good team but im of the opinion unless you actually end his england career you have to play green
hart is the future with green one of the back ups
i dont really want green to play but at the same time we dont need crucify a guy who's one mistake glossed over an unimpressive display
stick with green and get hart in for the last game

nobody has dropped gerrard ??? I wouldn't drop him either. I think Lampard is still Englands first choice in the middle and if Barry is coming back to play then you have to either drop Gerrard or move him so in saying that I can't see the sense in dropping him I have moved him. I wasn't having a go at anyone.

The problem they've got is they both do the same thing for their club, drifting around the midfield and getting forward whenever there is a break on. The only way they can both play together is if we have one man up front which is what I suggested because they can both get forward and leave Barry in to cover. Whether is works or not is a different thing altogether and you run the risk of leaving Rooney up front on his own.
Against Algeria I'd be tempted to give it a go and see if we can get it to work.

This is my prediction:- Green Johnson Carrager Terry Cole SWP Gerrard Lampard Cole Heskey Rooney
He will stick with Green just to prove that he does not blame him for that error

He does get the best out of Rooney but only on odd occasions. He has no composure in front of goal anymore.

What Ringo would choose.
Hart
Johnson Dawson Terry A Cole
Lennon Barry Lampard J Cole
Gerrard
Rooney
What Fabio will pick
Green
Johnson Carragher Terry A Cole
Lennon Barry Lampard Gerrard Milner
Rooney
We need three points from this game. Dosen't matter if that comes from a 1-0 win or a 5-0 hammering. The most important thing is that we retain the ball and get a midfield showing capable of taking on the big boys. Ball retention against the top sides is the key to progressing in the tournament.

I'd go for that team Hustler. Lampards needs to be dropped, he thinks he can put in shit performances and still get away with it, well he shouldn't be able to.
If Gerrard, Lennon or SWP play on the left then there really is no hope.

I agree with Ringo but not Jermaine jackson in panto ;D
Good side Ringo, but whilst think Hart is by far and away best keeper, the pressure has been cranked right up on who ever is in goals and he would be nervous enough with out the added scrutiny because of Green!
On the other hand he could be the differecne and become an England legend and have a great world cup. The keeper one is a big dilema and Fabio is probably thinking too hard about it, even I've talked myself round to starting Hart ;D

Afternoon Eriksson, hope you are well and enjoying the WC. Believe the club did a good job with proceedings on Saturday night.
Hart would have been my first choice from the start. Ron Green's only got the nod due to Fabio's stubborness.
After Rob Green dropped the ball in the first half of the friendly against Mexico, in what should have been an easy catch, I'd have him down as 3rd choice.
I'd have looked at Joe Harts reaction in the other friendly games. He's easily been the best keeper over the last 12 months and more importantly more recently in the friendly games.
If you're good enough-you're old enough. Its not as if Rob Green has any experience in world Cups, or European Championships to be in ahead of Green.

Not bad Ringo, didn't sample the Clubs atmosphere Saturday as some stupid sod arranged a wedding I agree would have Hart in from the start, Green would have not been anywhere near the squad, and tend to agree with Big Sam that Robbo should have been in the squad, oh well.
