What time do you head for the stands, presumably someone is always the first to get seated. Has it ever been you? I'm sure there must be a handful of anoraks who compete each time? Personally there was at least 500 in when I arrived at my earliest.

Craig1972 off here gets in hours before kick-off.
I personally like to wait in the pub until quite late on and then drink in the concourse until the minute before kick off.

With the quality of football we generally play, I always feel the need to have one last drink before I go in.

It'd probably be different if I lived local, but we drive down from Cumbria and usually arrive at the Brit around 1:45, and I'd rather just file into the stadium than do anything else. I'd probably go in alot later if the Seddon Stand TV's would work once in a while. ;D Getting in an hour early gives me time to read through my Oatcake fanzine and Programme, whilst watching the teams warm-up.

You ever tried Delilah's bar? A pie and a pint and if it's a 3PM Saturday kick-off then you can watch the early kick-off live on Sky, far more entertaining than being sat in a plastic seat for an hour and a half watching the teams warm up.

About half an hour before kick-off usually, wander about a bit (sit down in the grass bank if it's not freezing/raining etc) then get myself into the ground about quarter to.

Been in the odd time mate yeah, I occasionally go in the Harvester pre-match too, I just enjoy going in the stadium early really, I'm rather sad like that. ;D

Get in the ground for 14:50 from the pub. Then its a quick piss, a chinwag with friends who travel down from other areas of the city, by which time I'm usually in my seat just in time for kick off.
When I was about 13 at the Vic, I once went in at about 1pm fuelled with tizer and lemon bon-bons. ever since then I've never arrived at a home game 30 mins before a game. why would you?

I get in about 5 minutes before kick off.
We went to Shrewsbury one year and got into some mither. the coppers put us into the ground at 12 o'clock. we messed around for a bit then got bored, about 1 o'clock someone had the idea to open a fire exit and get out of the ground.

Usually about 30-40 mins before. For some reason I hate going up to my seat just as they're about to kick off, dunno why. I also like seeing the players come out to warm up and seeing who's there and who isn't, trying to work out the side and then telling my dad that 'no, for the third time that's not Faye it's Sidibe' (not being racist ) I prefer to get there a bit earlier, sample the atmosphere

I havent been the first seated in a game at stoke but, when we got promoted in 2002 at the millenium stadium, me and my mate legged it in the ground after waiting ages for the gates to open and were the first out of the block. think we just stud there gasping for about 5 mins. that was great. oh to be young again.
