I usually arrive in the concourse in time to see the last 3 or 4 minutes of the early kick-off on the concourse TVs.

About 2.40-2.45 is perfect time for me...you beat the last minute crush and have time for an oatcake read and a natter before kick off.
After about 5 minutes play though we usually start nattering and reading again, funnily enough.

30 mins before and that feels too long.
Some people who sit near me get to their seat usually 5/10 mins after kick off, they go down to the concourse about 5 mins before first half is over, then they come back up about 5 mins into the second half and then go 5 mins before kick off.
I think what's the point? Plus they piss me off as I've just settled to watch the free flowing, exhibition footballs thats on show.

I don't get what people take from getting there so early, it's boring. It'd probably be different if I lived local, but we drive down from Cumbria and usually arrive at the Brit around 1:45, and I'd rather just file into the stadium than do anything else. I'd probably go in alot later if the Seddon Stand TV's would work once in a while. ;D Getting in an hour early gives me time to read through my Oatcake fanzine and Programme, whilst watching the teams warm-up. are you derrick bird?

back at the Vic, I once queued for the turnstile to open before 1pm for a 3pm KO for a game against the Vale, in the early 90s
