who do you follow more. Stoke city or england?
Which means more to you. League cup in 72 or World Cup 66?
Would you rather england win the world cup this summer or stoke win the FA cup next year ?

Interesting. IN terms of world cup glory england tops it for me. But im stoke through and through otherwise. If there were a few stoke players in the england squad i would have more affiliation with them

Stoke by far. Care about both, but I'd rather Stoke finished top 6 than England win the world cup. Any day of the week.

Can I have both? After all, I have supported both all my life, and only have the 1966 and 1972 cups to show for it. ;D

That is the reason why the games don't clash. When England play you got to be 100% behind them weather they fuck up or not much in the same way as Stoke.

I supported England in 1966 because it seemed to mean something then, but the more time has gone by, the more I've grown to despise that shower of wasters who pull on the England shirt, so I've supported Italy since the days of Maldini, Baresi, Caniggia etc. I retire in 2016, so me and my wife are thinking of going to France for the European Championships. She'll be supporting England, I'll probably be going for Italy again, unless there's 2 or 3 Stokies in the England squad.

i always love these mindless questions. you may as well ask, what do you like more, food or water ?? England play what 4 times a year, in the world cup every 4 years !! comparing apples and oranges !! considering Stoke (or any other team) take up the majority of ones support and England play most of their meaningful matches during the off season, why does it need to be one or the other ?? you know damn well if Stoke ever had any players playing for England everybody would be saying both !!
so to be brief !! BOTH !

Well there's friendlies quite often, then there's the Euro qualifiers as well as the World Cup qualifiers... and then if we don't fuck them up we go to the Euro finals/World Cup finals. Just to some it up, England don't just play every 4 fucking years.

BOTH ! Christ...no......oh ok I'm going to do it but let me assure everyone it pains me to do so. He's right, it's a daft question. It doesn't need to be one or the other, All footballers are overpaid wankers basically (some less wanker-ish than others, but all overpaid). Of course Stoke are closer to most of our hearts because we see so much of them. The national squad is forever changing, unlike a club team, and hopefully includes the best of English which by default means you're going to get the highest paid (more money=higher likelihood of wankerishness, bar odd exceptions). Get behind the boys in white (or red, depending) this summer. If you're English, a football fan, then you've got no fucking excuse.

Footballer's are all the same and you can't blame the likes of Terry, Lampard, Cole for trying to earn as much money as they can. If someone wants to pay them the money, they'd be stupid to turn it down. I hate the viewpoint you have, I find it pathetic to be honest. To not support your own country is ridiculous.
