Stoke each and every time.............. my mum being born in Sweden (Gothenburg) may well have a lot to do with it so a shame for me that the Swedes never made it to S.A. My dad was from coventry (uggh) .......... BUT i am Stoke born and bred ....... and would not have it any other way

Difficult question, my first and last and final answer is Stoke, they mean more to me than anything. The amount of times i've given up on watching England (went World Cup Germany, Euro matches, freindlies, qualifiers, etc) but still cannot resist, so have today booked my flight to South Africa. Bring it on ;D ;D ;D

Stoke all day long!
A World Cup win would be amazing but nothing compared to what it would be like if Stoke won a cup.

Nope, North Staffs born and bred. I supported England in 1966 because it seemed to mean something then, but the more time has gone by, the more I've grown to despise that shower of wasters who pull on the England shirt, so I've supported Italy since the days of Maldini, Baresi, Caniggia etc. I retire in 2016, so me and my wife are thinking of going to France for the European Championships. She'll be supporting England, I'll probably be going for Italy again, unless there's 2 or 3 Stokies in the England squad. So you decided to support a team of diving cheating scum instead? Footballer's are all the same and you can't blame the likes of Terry, Lampard, Cole for trying to earn as much money as they can. If someone wants to pay them the money, they'd be stupid to turn it down. I hate the viewpoint you have, I find it pathetic to be honest. To not support your own country is ridiculous. BLAH BLAH BLAH FUCKING BLAH. Ask me if I give a fuck what you think. It's my country by the luck of the draw, and I choose to not be overly proud of it, so just suck it up. Oh, and I don't know where I got Caniggia from, I meant Costacurta.

Are we still pretending England don't cheat then? Everyone cheats and it makes the accomplishments of any team at an international level absolutely worthless. Nobody has actually won the World Cup since about 1970. Seriously though, our referees are too soft but the foreign referees are absolutely ridiculous. If I refereed a game between Portugal and Italy it'd have to be postponed by halftime because nobody would be left on the pitch. Red cards for dissent and diving.

After all being born in England hasn't stopped you deciding to "support" Italy. Why would being born in North Staffs stop you from glorifying everything Manc? I await your post claiming you have supported man you since the days of Best, Law and Charlton appearing on Man you .com anytime soon. Probably one of the wankest posts I have ever read on the Oatcake. We are normally spared the gloryhunter making excuses for not understanding football and what it stands for. They just don't bother humiliating themselves in front of partisans.

I remember '66 and '72 and both were great.
However, Stoke have given me much more pleasure over the years.

(conveniently one of the most successful countries in the world as well). Gerald Pratt goes international.

rio ferdinand is wank, he's a liability at the back and will cost us our place, he loses concentration too much, and to think he's our captain so if fit will play every game, scary.
i'd prefer shawcross with terry than rio the muppet.

i always love these mindless questions. you may as well ask, what do you like more, food or water ?? England play what 4 times a year, in the world cup every 4 years !! comparing apples and oranges !! considering Stoke (or any other team) take up the majority of ones support and England play most of their meaningful matches during the off season, why does it need to be one or the other ?? you know damn well if Stoke ever had any players playing for England everybody would be saying both !! so to be brief !! BOTH ! Water, because it would keep you alive longer than food would. and even if half our squad was in the England squad i'd still prefer Stoke than our national squad. and oranges are much better than apples.
