Got a week in Keswick booked in Feb and 2 weeks up there in November. Want to try another American adventure this year - fly into Huston and jump off to 3 or 4 places from there or stay east and look at a couple of new places but end up in Chicago again.

Just booked a long weekend in Reading in February, wife's birthday 😁 Son and his American wife have recently moved into a 1 bedroom flat there. Easy access into central London on the new Elizabethen line, where our daughter lives. Got a week in Deganwy in June. A week in Belgium in May, Bruges, Brussels and Antwerp, going on Eurostar. Later in the year, Chicago, Toronto and a town besides Lake Huron. Probably fit a few small trips in here and there as well. DM me if you're after any tips on Chicago or Toronto and you haven't been before.

Any tips on places to go with a 9 year old in the summer holidays where there'll be a beach but loads else to do? Did Tenerife last year and would go again but the good lady wife wants to try somewhere different.
My concern is once you get further into the med you could end up with 10 days sat in your room boiling your bollocks off.

Buenos Aires in June Stop in New York on the way back What's the exchange rate like for Argentinian pesos? Do you have to take your own separate plane if you're taking any cash?

Have to make the effort to get there but it's well worth it in my opinion. I'm desperate to get back there this year or next. Make sure to do the Architecture River Cruise, great way of learning about the place. It's more historic than people credit it. Actually founded by a black fur trapper from Haiti. It is a great city. Easy to get around. Much cleaner than NYC. The reason we started going is so my 3 girls could go to the 'American Girl' shop. Thankfully they've grown out of that...

Can’t be arsed with New York to be honest, and have always wanted to go to those other 3 for something different.

Anywhere from the South of France down to the Costa Dorada are favourites with us. Loads of great towns and cities - Carcassonne, Perpignan, Barcelona. Great beaches and loads to do, waterparks, theme parks, boat trips etc. Nice short flight times as well. Would also recommend Lake Garda (day trips to Verona, Venice and Milan) and the Algarve.

My next door neighbour from over here is in Cincinnati at the moment, she's been over a couple of times, she does something like IT projects and system integration.

If you're flying into Toronto use the underground system to get into the city, great bit of public transport. Distillery District is good and St Lawrence Market is worth a mooch around.

Look to stay in River North in Chicago. Slightly out of the main centre, some great bars and restaurants around there too. Short walk across the river into town.

It is, we stayed just north of the river off new Orleans street so near River North, got a hotel booked already for this year, just over the bridge from Trump Tower near the London hotel. Had a few beers in here www.monkspubchicago.com/

Started looking into South Africa, any one been or have any tips? My daughter has just booked an holiday in South Africa flying on Xmas day, believe it or not one way ticket with BA £118. Apparently BA allocate 8 seats 1 minute after midnight for ppl with Avious (sp) air miles. Struggling to get a direct flight back though.
