Went to Cancun a couple of years ago and loved it, 40 miles outside of Cancun this time; Playa Del Carmen.
Fridge filled with bottles of Corona every other day, poolside bar and a bar on the beach; absolute bliss!

Anyone been to Paphos lately? I am only asking as one day I want to go back but I am told it has become all modern and touristy compared to when we went back in 1997. Went for 2 weeks last August and TBH it was a big disappointment, it wasn't crap but I was led to believe it was next on the list to paradise and IMO it was mid table league 2, if you get the analogy. Going to Altinkum in a couple of weeks, never been Turkey so I thought I'd give it a go, 5* with its own beach so if I don't like the resort I'll have a good hotel to doss about in the sun and get pissed in. Thinking of either Mexico or Cuba later in the year for a couple of weeks but not made my mind up yet. Gouranga.

Just booked a long weekend in Reading in February, wife's birthday ๐ Son and his American wife have recently moved into a 1 bedroom flat there. Easy access into central London on the new Elizabethen line, where our daughter lives.
Got a week in Deganwy in June. A week in Belgium in May, Bruges, Brussels and Antwerp, going on Eurostar. Later in the year, Chicago, Toronto and a town besides Lake Huron.
Probably fit a few small trips in here and there as well.

I don't like to travel these days. Thatโs a shame buddy, whyโs that? As for us, weโre going to wait until the baby hits 6 months then bring him to the UK to meet my side of his family. Apparently, if you want to travel with a little one, doing it before one year is the best time (theyโre mostly asleep).

If you fancy eating out I can highly recommend Tasty Greek Souvlaki restaurant. Doesn't look much but the food is fantastic. Not far from the museum and abbey ruins. ๐

No mate, that is a dump I've stayed there once, I stayed in a little air bnb near the castle view pub in Deganwy in November when I went for the Conwy half, this time I'm staying here, I stayed in it pre covid but the downstairs, looks like the owner has switched about as it's now the upper floor. Great views and sunsets. www.cottages.com/cottages/waters-edge-uk6536
