Managers are always under pressure. That's their job.
As far as tone goes right now....no. IMHO he's under no more pressure than normal.

I suppose it is quite comparable if you are clueless and think that 12 appearances for Mali as a striker with no goals is anywhere near the same as playing for Turkey 72 times as a midfielder and scoring 22 times.

TP will be ok if he cancels his summer holidays and books some man management courses and maybe even an anger management course too. He's not under any pressure with regards his job, but surely Coates cant be happy with all the bad publicity that comes with the the manager head butting a player and players fighting. How the hell does this help attracting quality players to the club?

It really was a dismal day on Sunday, one that I fear was perhaps coming towards us for some time. For me as an older stokie TP and PC have performed miracles in the last few years, which of course we are all completely grateful. However, we are performing in the "Premier" League, one that we know so well as full of the worst kinds of excess and TWS. AKA Terrys and Coles. This is where I believe is our suffering, ourselves and TP and PC are too good and honest people for this division, we are old skool and will never fit in with the current set-up, trouble will follow us and eventually destroy us in the form of relegation. "To move on and fit in" we will have to change as a club and as our manager and chairman. Is this what we want? To fit in? Maybe we can struggle on and the decent, hard-working players out there will join us and perhaps we can grow stronger and prosper. As a fan of many decades I would rather see an Ian Painter playing for us than an Ashley Cole. But thats me. If it means relegation in the future then bring it on but at least we are out of the moribund circus that is becoming the "Premiership" "AKA world football same teams winning everything" As another fan of several decades you've just about summed up everything thats wrong with the Pulis mentality, if thats what you want what was the point of cilmbing through the leagues from our times in league one. Your perception of a players personality is far more important to you than his footballing ability. I can't imagine for the life of me what would upset you so much about having one of the best left backs in world football playing for your team. The ethos of the Premier league is the best players, playing the best football. If you want to watch someone with little or no ability trying his nads off and launching balls aimlessly up field just go to your local park on a Sunday morning, its completely free. Steer clear or kids football though they tend to try to play a bit it, might bring you out in a rash.

Ok so you want to see players aggressive and up for a fight. Pulis butts Beattie........That's ok Fuller slaps Griff.........That's ok it happens Faye slaps Whelan....... That's ok it happens Tuncay and Kitson pull their face and mard off because they don't want to be taken off...................Tools and should be fucked off. Doesn't make sense, unless it's just an attempt to cover Pulis's arse. H Agreed.

would that be because hes injured? yeah mamas record speaks for himself, the useless twat plays he doesnt score! end of really are you really that thick?? perhaps if you are the hitman you get your brain checked??? mama is not a goal scoring forward, he is a link man, who plays deep just like kitsonn did on suday. the difference being mama does it much better and doesnt strop about being subbed The link man for other teams are very creative, what's Sidibe got.

go ask every fan of every club, they all have a scapegoat, however this season sidibe as proved he aint upto it, like it or lump it, hes done a great job for us but its a case of thanks mama but theirs the door, go in the championship and reap the rewards like cresswell! as for tunny being a bad apple im still unsure, he obviously doesnt like being subbed, is that such a bad thing? it can be looked at both ways, but his talent is their if we can get him into a system that suits him and the team he could be superb for us i totally disagree, mama isnt as gifted as alot of the others, but for what he lacks in that he makes up in effort, and this season he has been rushed back from a long lay off, never moans, is kept afloat by injections, and still never moans, last season he raised his game this season he has been unable to due to the long lay off and on going problems. as for tuncay, what has he shown this season? inconsistency thats what. the same as he showed at boro and Fenerbahce, he has never been consistent and has lived of his 45 minutes against fulham, in which mama was fantastic aswell Just effort is not good enough in the Prem.

There are a lot of Stoke fans who think 'putting in a shift' is good enough. Sorry it is not. Good players have technical ability and work hard.

He's not under any pressure until the summer and next season.
To his credit, TP has shown that he can handle pressure time and time again.

H to be fair i did get my facts wrong, and i have no issues in holding my hands up and saying im wrong. i had it in my head that mama had scored 3 times for mali in 12 apps. it is also down to his awful treatment when on international duty that he hasnt played for mali many more times. anyway raf, can you hold your hands up when your wrong ???

It'll be a difficult summer for Pulis if he doesn't make 3 or 4 substantial signings. We are going to be shipping out a few players and added to that everyone is getting older. Next season will be a real challenge and we need better players in to make sure we do as well as we have this year. If we don't get off to a good start then it will be a long season for us all and TP will be under pressure then!

one youngish midfielder
one youngish striker and our average age would drop substantially, we will be ok imho

I think next season will be tougher. Burnley and Hull were always going down this year. West Brom and Newcastle in my opinion are better than these pair and even though we always beat West Brom next year might be a bit more difficult. If rumours are to be beieved then we will ship some high earners anyway but we need to make sure that we replace these with better quality players. It's all well and good reducing the wage bill but what use is it if the palyers we bring in are worse than the ones going out?
