;D
What a player, what a goal, great effort from all the players. All those after the Chelsea game saying Tuncay should be dropped etc, well....hes probably our best player isnt he, never gave up all night. Its mad hes quite small but is really good in the air, has scored a few headers this year now.
Anyway, decent result, not great but not bad either. Interesting to see Moult come on too. Had a nice touch on him.

I didn't think he was our best player tonight.
He was comfortably our main goal threat and taking him off waved the white flag that we weren't interested in winning the game.
Yet he still seems on a different wavelength to the rest of the team in many ways and some of his runs seem to take him out of dangerous positions rather than into them.
Fine header for the goal and full of running, but somehow frustrating at the same time.

With respect to Mama, he is never going to be on the same wavelength as Tuncay. But that Rory throw he was, and looked what happened, flicked it on to Tunci who powered the fucker home. ;D

He looks better up front alongside Mama than he does on the flank.
I wonder if Ric is going to be out for a while.

Yeah i think Ric will not play on Saturday, fit or not. Tuncay has to start starting at home. If he plays anywhere close to the way he played in the snow against Fulham, then i think we can beat Villa.

Obviously itd be good to see Tuncay and Fuller together, but we've been talking about that for years and it will never happen. Think id keep it all the same against Villa maybe drop Lawrence though he looked shite yet again.

We missed Fuller enormously today. He'd have had a field day against Cort and Carlisle I reckon.

Play tunk up front and he looks the player we thought we'd signed.
Play tunk on the wing and he looks like a player we wish we hadn't signed.

Thing is, what do you do when both Tuncay and Fuller are fit? Because Tuncay scores more goals in the league, but Fuller as we know is a handful, and bearing in mind Pulis will never play them together, what do we do. Tuncay is wasted on the wing, unless we play a fast passing game which we done Tunci is no good on the wing.

Longton.

I could be wrong, but Tunny appeared to be limping at the end of the game, so perhaps that substitution was forced ? if not it was a bizarre decision to bring him of at 1-1 with 10 odd minutes to go .
Is Tunny our top scorer now ?

Shit, thats bad i didnt notice to be honest. Well, if Fuller and Tuncay are both out v Villa then we're fucked. Thing is, i thought he was just resting him ahead of the Villa game with it being only 3 days away. Maybe im wrong.

Tunny made some excellent runs today, he played some intelligent passes as well, but he's often on a different wave length than some of the other players, perhaps he's a little too good at times ? IE in the second half Mama burst down the flank and Tunny pulled back away from Burnleys defence, but Mama totally misread what Tunny was trying to do and he put the ball into the 6 yard box, instead of pulling it back towards the penalty spot.

Interesting, serps. I read that completely the other way around. Mama did really well out wide and put in a great cross into the 6-yard box (like the Arse game for Fuller). Tunk - not being a natural goalscorer, but more of a creative forward - didn't do the right thing and stopped his run ... As if we had another forward steaming in. Funny how people see things differently. Anyrode, I dunner think either of us - nor Tunk/Mama - is/was right or wrong. ah

"Tunk - not being a natural goalscorer,"
I see your point there, he's not prolific. But he's now our top scorer (league!) and to me he actually looks our most dangerous striker in terms of finding space in the box and getting on the end of crosses.
For me though, Ric offers more overall.

Mama has good memories about playing Villa at home so he'll be in dont you worry yourselves.
Whatever anyone says about Mama, we get results when he plays more often than not, and he provided me with probably the best mental i have had in 33 years watching Stoke against Villa at home last year
Everybody is entitled to their opinion of course but we all may as well bang our head against a brick wall if we think Tony is going to drop Mama.

Mama looked up and just as he did Tuncay feigned to make a quick sprint to the near post. Then he stopped on the spot and waited on the edge of the box. It's one of those 50-50s where Mama could only guess which option he would take. He went for heads and it came down tails.
