I thought the real error was Kitson's when Ethers was wide open on the edge of the box and Dave chose to chip the ball to the keeper. That was a huge chance.

Interesting, serps. I read that completely the other way around. Mama did really well out wide and put in a great cross into the 6-yard box (like the Arse game for Fuller). Tunk - not being a natural goalscorer, but more of a creative forward - didn't do the right thing and stopped his run ... As if we had another forward steaming in. Funny how people see things differently. Anyrode, I dunner think either of us - nor Tunk/Mama - is/was right or wrong. ah Me too mate. Mama looked up and just as he did Tuncay feigned to make a quick sprint to the near post. Then he stopped on the spot and waited on the edge of the box. It's one of those 50-50s where Mama could only guess which option he would take. He went for heads and it came down tails. Tunny was clearly making gestures as to where he wanted the ball . Ok, maybe not a great example, but my point still stands, often Tunny makes runs and the midfield hasn't quite got the quality he needs to spot it, our midfield is lacking in a creative lock picker, I think we miss Glen when he's out of the side, he's the best player we have who can spot a good pass and execute it .

I didn't see these gestures myself but if i see it again i'll keep an eye out. To be fair mate there was another example where Mama dummied a through ball to him and let it go. If Tunny had read it he'd have made the run and been through on goal. It doesn't necessarily mean he's not good enough and not on Mama's wavelength. You take a risk and choose your option. Sometimes they'll come off and you'll look like footballing geniuses and other times you'll look silly. That's just football.

now i am not here to bash tunny again, but i didnt think he had his best game again today (no body played that good, especially second half)
but for me there were too many occassions where he tryed some trick or another and totally lost the ball putting or defence under alot of un needed pressure.
im not denying hes a class player, i just wish he would look for the simple ball from time to time, it really gets me angry sometimes.
anyway im happy with a point, and tunny took his goal well

yeah that one flick/bit of skill he did before he crossed the ball in was proper weird, not sure what it achieved but it looked good
;D

Tunny is quality and class....i know same old same old....but the game is lively and exciting when he's on the pitch ....and his work rate....wow he chases everything down...and forces defenders to pass...which often leads to mistakes..and then we can attack again ....

Yeah thats what footballs about after all. Its a game, so should be entertaining. And when hes on the ball its certainly that.

Play tunk up front and he looks the player we thought we'd signed. Play tunk on the wing and he looks like a player we wish we hadn't signed. ah Thing is Andy ... I'd play Ric instead of Tuncs everytime and with Lenny having such a poor time of it at the moment, I'd rather see Tuncs on the right wing rather than just sitting on the bench mate .

I thought Tuncay was dreadful last night. The tip of the iceberg was when he tried to backheel the ball to Etherington.
1) He backheeled thin air 2) Etherington was about 20 yards behind him

Tuncay wasnt dreadful. He was still our best player, but had a poor game by his standards. Just we expect wonders from him every game. End of the day, he scored. Fuller was shite against Chelsea but people never seem to critisise him.

Not our best player but a very good one. Still gets knocked off it ridiculously too much though.
