Thats interesting, what work on the segregation would this be then? They've put a line of bins between the two sets of supporters.

So does that mean with Villa,s 2900 allocation the ground capacity is 30,530 ? as opposed to 28,383 (before)

So does that mean with Villa,s 2900 allocation the ground capacity is 30,530 ? as opposed to 28,383 (before) No. The capacity with no segregation remains at 28,300 ish (which is only achievable when the whole of the south stand is given to the away side in cup games) but the segregated capacity has gone up from 27,500 to 27,630.

What you haven't told us though LP, is just how many bins will be deployed?

They should fill the clock corner in, use it for (3000 ?) away fans and we could have the whole of the current away end. 28300 home fans, 3000 away. Simples

Just sounds more impressive to likely signings, even sponsorship if you can say SCFC home ground can hold 30,000+

Hopefully it'll mean the end of that ridiculously oversized Britannia thing between the two sets of supporters, and just 3 or 4 seats and a row of stewards instead.

If there are 38 (horizontal) rows , looks like they are losing 3 and half seats of the segregation , which doesn't make sense, or add up 38 seats would be one (verticle) row, 76 would be 2,114 would be 3 etc but they are liberating 130

That may possibly affect the numbers of seats blocked off on the bottom rows.

Yes it bugs me to death, as well.
Once more, on Sunday, I was in touching distance of the away supporters and this is definitely one instance, when I hate our being different.
Agree with you, gaz, that 30,000 has a ring about it and sounds just right for us, as a PL club. When we've sorted out the car parking, it could also see a return to under 21 internationals, as tickets are usually given away, to school kids, and otherwise at low cost.
But at least we're improving and mustn't forget that that we had none of our fans in the South Stand, this time last year. hesotnitnd . eiprit
