"selling 23,000 tickets for FA Cup matches is not easy when it is £22 or £25."
odd I remeber getting Chelsea in 2003, and us selling 23,000 plus at £26 (and it was on TV) , when usual price was £20 , I think £22 and £25 are very reasonable prices for such opponents, never used to get cup discounts in the FA cup at all

Big difference between now and then, Premier matches have more of a pull than the FA Cup.......Thats the reality of it yep we have 20,000 season ticket holders, our average "home fans" crowd is 24500, and our FA cup rices are a reduction over the equivilant prem game price

Done.
P.S. I know I didn't raise the matter with the forum, but I'm still waiting for a reply from Tony Scholes and SCWIM to my Car Park complaint from last Wednesday.

just for the record I think the prices should stay as they are. I would however be happy to pay a nominal fee based on results. i.e. Stoke win a game and I automatically pay £2 by direct debit that goes straight to the transfer kitty/academy

Done. My other information was the following - in case you have an answer... When I renewed our season tickets last year in the John Smiths upper (Block 3) I noticed the introduction of Premium seats at an increased cost. That was fine and didn't effect us. However, when I bought category 'B' tickets for the Arsenal cup game I was charged £35 each for adults, which was Premium rate when it was £32 for the rest of the JSU. My question is basically, have they widened the area of the premium seats at some point this season and will we be caught by this when we renew this time round? If so, was there any notification that I missed to say they'd done this?

Stokiebloke: had a look on SCFC direct , part of block 3 is in the premium section.
I seem to recall that the current seasons Season Ticket prices had Premium Seat increases that were only for new season ticket holders, not renewels , so you have probably been sitting in the premium section, but as it was a renewal thats why you didn't see any increase in ticket price , who knows if they will this season though , Think the increase was about £20-30 pounds in the Seddon

I think our season ticket prices are very fair to be honest.
My seat in the Sentinel/Seddon stand costs me £ 21 per game and that is fair enough by me. I think they could move it maybe to £399 (22.16 per game) but I don't think they could push it much more than that.
A big one for me would be the re-introduction of cup vouchers.
I think we used to get 3 cup vouchers which were applicable to our first 3 cup games of the season. Invariably, free entrance was used in the early rounds of the League Cup and the Autoglass Trophy at that time, but it was still a nice bonus.
Don't think Cup Vouchers have been given since we moved from the Vic.
£ 399 for the Sentinel Stand & 3 cup vouchers would be a decent deal in my opinion.

The problem with freezing ticket prices is that at some point, the club will raise them and it will very probably be above the inflation rate and the supporters will moan their asses off. I can't see why the club just doesn't apply a straight inflation rise each year and then not only do we know what to expect, we can budget for the tickets on that basis. The Icelanders tried to mess too much with prices and there was a backlash when the current owners put them up.
If I have one major gripe, it's the timing of the sales of new tickets. It should be put back two months.
OS.

On a slightly different thing, could you please ask the club about the purchasing of away tickets from scfcdirect please, i know this would be appreciated by a lot of people, the sooner the better i think

Gaz On a slightly different thing, could you please ask the club about the purchasing of away tickets from scfcdirect please, i know this would be appreciated by a lot of people, the sooner the better i think I will ask again for implementing at the start of next season We were told a couple of meetings ago that the fact of the matter is, the computer system used by Stoke is unable to work out allocations i.e. - If the criteria is that you should have been to 6 of the last 10 games it cannot work it out. Also, I suspect there maybe anomalies when people are buying tickets for others - i.e. I went and got my mate's ticket and my ticket at the same time for Wigan. They did not take note of my mates details, so officially he didnt go to that game I know it is frustrating a lot of people so I will raise it on Wednesday when we next have a meeting with the club

Hey Gaz, I'm not a season ticket holder as i cannot afford one and do not get to enough games to warrant one, being a student means sacrifices. Could you please suggest to the club that they have an under 21/student price for buying tickets per match rather than only have this option just for season tickets. Thanks, Olly. when scholesy scoffs at that ask him somthing similar for service personnel Damn right! Get us 50% off like dominos do ;D

Malcolm Clarke puts in an order for my away tickets together with those for the rest of the North West Stokies and the purchase shows up on my purchase history on SCFC Direct. The club are certainly supposed to ask for details for any purchases for priority customers - or how will they know if the fan has sufficient priority to be entitled to a ticket?

I agree, the other thing is that Wigan (and Portsmouth I think) operated a pay on the turnstile system so those people who did go and didnt buy in advance would not have been on the system either! I dont know how you legislate for pay on the day tickets unless you retain your stub, but then again, I dont think they keep a note of the seats you have been allocated when you buy from the ground, so you could have not gone to the game, but taken a friends ticket down to the ground to say you have been I will definitely raise that on Wednesday to ask how they go about noting these situtations down

Even though I am an ST holder, as an exile I haven't filled in the survey, as it didn't seem fair. However, some points regarding U21 ticketsAges ago (4 or 5 years, I think?) when the Fans Forum argued for U21 tickets we went to great length to get those discounts for ALL U21 fans (I think it is actually U22 ... but my memory is rubbish and it was a long time ago). The reasons for arguing all U22 supporters - not just "students" - should get a discount were two-fold: 1. It is far easier for the club to administer U22 discounts for all U22 supporters, as there is no need to forge Student Cards and the like. Proof of age gets any U22 supporter the same discount. 2. Few working people are on much of a wage aged 21 and under. So we argued at the time that the discount should be for anyone under the age of 22. It would be good to see the discount stay for all U22 supporters (IMHO it is one of the best things the forum has ever negociated with the club) and it would be even better to see it extended from STs to MatchDay tickets (although I can hear Scholsey crying about the amount of admin required to run the scheme on an adhoc basis, week in week out). Premium SeatsThis was first raised, by the club, 4 or 5 years ago. The FF have done well to resist it for so long. Eventually, I guess it is likely those seats will attract a premium even for renewals. I remember spending quite a while moaning my bag off about my "premium view" in many meetings at the time. Best of luck in this year's negoitiations, Gaz. Make 'em bleed mate, make em bleed ah
